“My husband and I initially booked another wedding venue in Crested Butte, but after a less-than-ideal visit a year before our wedding, we were feeling uncertain about our choice. On top of that, the weather was rainy and hailing, which led us to scramble for somewhere to stay. As we were driving around, I remembered Harmels on the Taylor, which was a newer venue at the time. I had done some research but was hesitant to commit since it was a newer location. However, after the weekend fiasco, we decided to stop by and see if they had any availability—and I’m so glad we did!

From the moment we walked in, we felt the warmth and hospitality of the staff. They quickly accommodated us with a room, invited us to dinner with the owner and family. We enjoyed some whiskey, shared stories, and discussed the possibility of having our wedding at Harmels. The next day, we spent time by the river, went fly fishing, and knew without a doubt that this was the place where we wanted to get married. It was an unforgettable experience, and we ended up booking our wedding with them.

Working with Savannah was a dream. She is extremely knowledgeable about the wedding industry and was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. Harmels helped us tackle the major expenses early on and provided us with a wedding planner to help set up a budget and guide us through the process. This was invaluable in making our wedding day as smooth as possible. Savannah was always available to answer questions, provide suggestions, and even worked directly with vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly.

When the wedding weekend arrived, the Harmels team was outstanding. They helped set up the welcome dinner on the porch and the entire wedding setup by Cabin100 and everything we needed. We had our guests rent cabins at Harmels, and it was fantastic. My family loved the experience of staying on-site, walking around the property, and running into people they had met earlier in the weekend. The location and atmosphere were perfect for our wedding.

We had an issue with a generator I rented (not from Harmels) that went out, but Savannah went above and beyond to find a backup within minutes and immediately notified the company of the issue. Her quick action and dedication were truly appreciated in helping us avoid any major disruption to our day.

The food was another highlight. We still get compliments from guests about the meals, from the welcome dinner to the wedding itself. It was top-notch and truly exceeded our expectations.

Overall, our experience at Harmels was beyond exceptional. From the beautiful venue to the wonderful team, everything about the day went perfectly. My family couldn’t stop talking about how stunning the location was, how amazing the staff was, and how seamless the whole experience was. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable wedding experience in Crested Butte, I highly recommend booking Harmels. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our special day!

“I am so impressed by the exceptional service provided by Barry from the moment I called to inquire about renting a cabin and RZR/UTV to the moment we left. Barry showed extreme professionalism, kindness, hospitality, and friendliness to me and my entire family. He answered my millions of questions over the phone and also when we arrived, talked to me about the trails, and gave us really good instructions and tips for driving the RZRs. He was super accommodating and helpful, and I really feel like he made our experience so much more pleasant. It’s refreshing to meet genuinely nice people like him.

Our cabin was awesome, stocked with everything we needed, and very clean (cleaner than 99% of hotel rooms I’ve walked into). Taylor Park was also beautiful. The trails were awesome - American Flag Trail was stunning. The RZRs did really well all the way up and back down. The views from the cabins were absolutely gorgeous - we had views on the front side and the back, completely unobstructed. We loved how open everything was. There was a charcoal grill and a little fire pit for us as well, so we made a nice dinner and s’mores. Check-in and check-out were both super easy. They don’t make it a hassle or difficult, and they take care of most of the cleaning which is really nice when you’re just ready to get back on the road and get back home. Overall, my family and I were super pleased with our entire experience here - special thanks to Barry. We can’t wait to come back in the summer.

TLDR; if you’re looking for a fun cabin weekend with some RZRs/UTVs, this is the place to go. Barry is fantastic and so were the cabins and trails! No complaints about anything :)”
