I loved staying at this beautiful historic hotel!! There was so many cute details throughout the hotel and the friendly staff told me all about the cool history of the building (It was originally built in 1911).
The hotel and room itself was super clean and the staff helped me with directions to the train the next day.
Recommend for anyone traveling in the area or riding the Cumbers and Toltec train!
I also learned that a scene from Indiana Jones was filmed in the town!
Noteworthy details: Amazing hiking, fishing and hunting nearby!

An endearing historical hotel of locomotive charm. Run by a team of service oriented staff that strives for your comfort and satisfaction of your stay there while exploring the Southern San Luis Valley and Conejos River canyon and Cumbre Toltec train.
Walkability: Within walking distance of two great restaurants and a local market for convenience.

This quaint little hotel sits right in the heart of Antonito. Perfect location from everything this town has to offer. Rooms are cute and comfortable! Would recommend anyone to stay here? The people that run the hotel are very very nice people, they go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay.

The rooms are reminiscent of the early 1900's, and they are very unique. Good sized rooms and very clean and comfortable. Easy off street parking and very accessible. Paul and his wife are excellent hosts and they really made us feel at home. The Cumbres and Toltec Train Station is less than a mile away. There's also a grocery store and two restaurants within walking distance. Y'all need to give this place a try, you won't be sorry.

This is not a bad place to stay in a pinch. I would have given a higher rating but for $120 including tax this is extremely expensive. The price should have been about 80-90 dollars. There really aren't any amenities either. One positive is the Mexican place across the street is good.

This is a very old hotel. We did not get to stay in the hotel, but in an adobe building that seemed like it was about to collapse.
The room was a bit sketchy. The staff was good.
Unfortunately the cable box did not work, so no Thursday night football. Oh well.
There are more choices to stay in Alamosa and it is only half an hour away from the Cumbres and Toltec railway.

Our family loved this place! Provides very retro experience with antique organ in the hall, pool table and fridge full of breakfast pastries in the community room, TV and full kitchenette with full size fridge in the room. And surprise surprise, the rustic bathroom has a bidet! So clean! We were very happy to bring some tourist dollars to this end of the Cumbres & Toltec train line.
Rooms: Old, historical, comfortable, cabin feel
Walkability: Walkable to breakfast and grocery

Great place to stay! The rooms are always clean and the staff is supper friendly and helpful. I've stayed here a few times in my travels and have chosen here instead of alamosa. It's worth the drive!
