Went for a memorial service for my dear friends momma. It was a beautiful day and a perfect spot.

A wonderful service provided by concerned citizens in the area but only opened three mornings a week no afternoons making it difficult for many of us to get there during the two hours a day that they are open. Please consider opening at least one afternoon a week?

TARA is an acronym for Tiffany, Allison, Rosa, and Arboles. These are the 4 communities most impacted by the Navajo Dam / Lake project of the late 50’s/early 60’s.
The original towns of Tiffany and Allison remain at their original locations. The town of Rosa which was just over the state line in New Mexico was completely submerged. The original town of “Los Arboles” is also under water at the confluence of the San Juan and Piedra Rivers. Fortunately, several buildings were moved and the town of Arboles, was rebuilt in its present location.
