My cat passed away tragically a week ago, and Banfield is charging me for the rest of his Wellness Plan, because he has unused services remaining for this year, and I have to pay the balance of a few hundred dollars. Obviously he won’t be using these services anymore, and this just adds insult to injury.Banfield is corporately owned and can’t write off a few hundred dollars for unrendered services? In addition, they recently failed to do a complete exam of my 14 year old dog during a covered wellness visit, so failed to diagnose an obvious cancer and decided not to run kidney function tests which would have identified her as having kidney disease. Early detection of kidney disease is vital in understanding and responding to an animals changing health needs. This corporate vet office only cares about money; not your pets. My dog is seeing a different private vet now, and the level of care is so much better. I know they actually care about her and understand the need for a comprehensive checkup, especially given her age.

Was asked if I was “looking for euthenasia” when I told them I couldn’t afford the laundry list of medications, tests, prescription food, and X-rays they tried to force on me for my 18 year old cat. Complete lack of compassion. Told me this was the “bare minimum” she needed to have any quality of life and implied it would be abusive to not buy in. My cats medical expenses far surpass my own at this vet. The thyroid tests alone are triple what my own cost. The “plan” doesnt pay for any of the expensive treatments they pushed on me that I’m still paying off from last March and didn’t help my cat whatsoever. Hoping a manager or supervisor contacts me to rectify this before I research vet malpractice. You’re not allowed to treat people this way.

I had a 16 year old sheltie I would bring here. She had bleeding out of her nose so we brought her here to see the problem. They misdiagnosed her with a tooth abcess when she had nasal cancer that was spreading to her brain. We tried to take the tooth out but she had heart problems so we couldnt. We kept bringing her back to have them monitor the situation and her symptoms got much worse. Extreme weigtloss, wandering aimlessly, loss of appetite, unable to lift herself up or hold herself up and wobbley. The blood was literally pools of blood, daily coming out of her nose. It was an extremely stressful and sad time for us and her. This was over the course of a year, we kept bringing her back and they just shrugged it off as tooth abcess getting worse. Not once did they recommend we see a specialist. We eventually saw a vision specialist and she instantly knew it was cancer and had us visit a cancer specialist for them to tell us it's just too late to do anything. Had Banfield not been so incompetent we could have maybe diagnosed it earlier and gave her treatment instead she had to suffer. She died one month after we saw the cancer specialist on December 19th 2022. Rip shelby. I'll never bring another to dog to Banfield

I love that the vets aren't afraid to treat my German Shepherds. My boy used to be afraid to come here, and the vet who treated him when he was young (before I got him from his previous owner) said he was a bite risk. After multiple visits where they just gave him treats and loved all over him, he does fine now. He still wants to pull me out the door after they're done with him, but I can't blame him. I don't care for visiting the doctor either. ?

Im new to this vet and area only been here for a few months i will not be coming back here i had went in for a routine shot for my dogs (service animals) i have always used e-collars on my dogs and always will. I had asked the vets not to remove them well this specific day the vet removed both dogs e-collars and when i asked the tec she had lied straight to my face and said no so i said ok and asked the vet if she had removed them she lied and said thats exactly were you had it but from the start they both had really funky attitudes and the tec could not tell me why they had removed things from my plan for my dogs when i looked she had let them out so far they were barely touching the neck i tried to explain my dogs have double coats and this is important to have on them when we are out and about working the vet tried to say i was hurting my dogs and in so many words said i was (abusing) my service animals i tried to reason with her and she threatened to call animal control because i use e collars on my dogs this vet made me feel like 1. i wasn't being listened to i had asked 3 times prior to this for them not to remove the collars and 2. Being a person of color everytime iv came here iv felt i have been looked at by staff like im less then they are but this time specific i felt like this was so rude and unexceptional and then the fact the vet went from calling me mam and talking to me as if i was a child or slow or uneducated really did it for me and then had the nurves to stand over me and try to talk over me while im trying to reajust my dogs collars back to where i had them all this and hearing my dog scream bloody murder in the back and was pooping blood after we left was enough for me i will never take them back here unless im shopping in petsmart after i left this day i had a ptsd attack anxiety attack and panic attack all at once UPDATE : IV BEEN TRYING TO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT THIS I HAVEN'T BEEN REACHED OUT TO IV CALLED AND WAS TOLD IN 3 BUINESS DAYS SOMEONE WILL REACH OUT THERE BEEN NO ACTION TAKEN AND NO APOLOGY OR REPERCUSSIONS TAKEN TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN : NEW UPDATE TOOK MY SERVICE DOG TO A DIFFERENT VET FOR EAR INFECTION COME TO FIND OUT THIS VET TRIED TO ACCUSE ME OF ABUSING MY SERVICE ANIMALS BUT IT WAS A BACTERIAL SKIN INFECTION THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT BUT INSTEAD ACCUSED ME OF ABUSING MY SERVICE ANIMALS

ther lady that answered the phone for the hospital portion was the most unwelcoming, unprofessional sounding person I have ever talked to. She sounded so put out to answer the phone, I hung up immediately and will be taking my three dogs somewhere else.

We’ve made an appointment for our new pup few weeks ago on a available appointment date and then a week later they changed our appointment to drop off for the same date but in the morning (which was fine) BUT now just few days before the appointment they decide to cancel the appointment because they don’t do drop off for new pups, if that’s the case then why did they change it to drop off? Now we have to look for an appointment which is almost impossible to get just in few days. So unprofessional.

They're located inside of PetSmart. I would think that they stay checking on all the well-being of all of the animals but clearly not. I bought a 4 month old fancy bear hamster and 5 days later, he passed. I figured they would've caught he was sick because there's a pet hospital inside.
