Awful experience all around. With rude staff that with little to no notice will cancel an appointment or schedule it at the wrong location. Rude and uneducated staff with painfully bad responses when you bring a concern to their attention. The worst part is our animals hate going there, this hasn't been the animals reactions at other vets so I trust their "animal intuition" and the words they're not telling us. All around terrible experience and a sad excuse for a "vet". Go elsewhere, your future self and animals will thank you.

Our two dogs are rescued yorkies and need a lot of help. The vet Christina Chavez and staff are the perfect staff to help even our dogs. Im confident i can count on this Banfield Pet Hospital because of her.

I'm typing the email in response to an experience my wife and I had on the phone with a representative of Banfield. This person is named Stephanie and works at the Arvada West location at 5736 Ward Way Arvada CO 80002. She was incredibly rude and acted as a gate keeper to our dogs health. A little background, our beautify Husky, Theia, who is our best friend and who we do not deserve has a protein allergy and cannot digest normal food. we almost lost her because it was so difficult trying to find the problem but Dr. Mathews and Dr. Chawla never gave up. They went above and beyond to make sure our baby was taken care of. Theia has been on a long term prescription for a hydrolyzed protein diet that she will need to remain on for the rest of her life. I was informed that niether of those doctors are with the Arvada clinic anymore so our prescription has expired. As Murphy would have it we are also at the end of our supply and would run out before the soonest appointment. This was explained to Stephanie, I have no words for how she behaved nor can I speculate as to why. Yes I also became frustrated but the exchange has left me shook. The recording before answering states that calls may be recorded, I hope that is the case so that you may review the conversation from an un-biased stance. the calls were made October, 7 2023 at 10:36 AM and 10:38 AM Mountain time.I do not want to risk hyperbolizing by telling the story and becoming frustrated but I will drop some facts.1. Stephanie Hung up on me twice2. I asked if there was any way to get a short term prescription to keep our dog fed until the appointment. Stephanie denied us.3. Stephanie told us that Dr Reed is at a different clinic and that we could find a new Vet.4. I asked multiple times to speak to someone else, Stephanie refused.5. Last but absolutely not least, in fact the most disturbing part of this experience was when Stephanie told me we, "obviously don't love or care for our dog". I can't fathom what kind of person would accuse somebody of that.I'm not sure a person who is so unstable should be at a Vet where people often come at they're lowest and most defeated. I've said good bye to a handful of my best friends on the cold floor of your clinic, I have shed tears and held them in their last momments with staff and Doctors who cared. My family has brought 4 generations of Dogs, Cats and rabbits to the Arvada West location all of whom were/are loved dearly. It is painfully clear to me that those Doctors and Staff who gave their all are no longer there. The Banfield Client Pledge is not being upheld and we will not be returning.We sheduled an appointment at a different Vet outside of the Banfield Network. They couldn't get us in right away either but they will be providing a prescription to supply food for our best friend till she can be seen. Its a small ask, I just want to feed my dog.

This vet was amazing until Banfield took over. I can't speak for all Banfield locations, but this one is the absolute worst. The front desk are always rude, they NEVER answer the phone and its near impossible to get an appointment. Not to mention, I paid for a PRIVATE cremation for one of my dogs and THEY MISMARKED HER AND LOST HER ASHES. After months of calling asking where her ashes were they finally told the truth. Don't go here.

We had been going to this banfield for a little more than 3 years because we really liked the vets and the service but in the last 6 months, things have really gone downhill.We received a diagnosis for one of our dogs and were only offered one line of treatment and consulted other vets and got different opinions that were significantly better for our dog and his life.Procedures are constantly changing and as recent as today, I was turned away for service. I made an appointment, confirmed the appointment, spent an hour in the car to get to the appointment on time after medicating my dog for the appointment and I was told they were too busy, couldn’t take me and that their scheduling the last few months has been “atrocious”. When I told the front desk person this, I was told that I should try going somewhere closer to home.

Such incredible care and compassion! I thought my cat was in kidney failure, he was lethargic. I brought him in cradled in my arms in a towel. The vet was amazing. She took a look at him and drew some blood and we found out he’s diabetic. She was wonderful with explaining everything. The whole staff front to back was incredible. They even called the next day to check on him. They are now my new vet. ❤️

While the staff is nice enough, their upselling is very off-putting.I never spoke with a Dr. regarding my dog’s spay, was charged for her being in heat which I am unsure was true as I asked for a phone call if she was in heat and didn’t receive a call, was up charged an additional $338.00 for the spay and they did not examine her eye infection as requested because I declined lab work on the eye.Having worked in the veterinary business for years I know you don’t need to do a lab test to treat an eye infection!I bought a health plan for my dog and am stuck here for a year but when the plan is up I will go elsewhere.The dog’s health should matter more than upselling unnecessary services.

The team here is amazing. Do not go to Pet Smart, go to the main Banfield. Ask Brianna. She will take care of you and, most importantly, your pet.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!! Was told my dog had one of two fatal diseases. Was charged $1,200 for testing and was told it would be one to two days to get results back. It's now been two weeks and I still have no results. I have called them six times, left messages and still nothing. Meanwhile my dog is suffering in pain. They will lie right to your face. They promise and charge you for services that they will not provide. They will lie to you about time frames and anything else just to get money out of you. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Great place to make sure our little fur baby is truly taken care of. His veterinarian his super good at what she does. I’d recommend this Banfield hospital to anyone looking for a good Pet Vet.

This Banfield was very accommodating. My dog isn't the best people person and they were willing to put a muzzle on her and do the exam. It was super helpful as they were the only ones with appointments for an ear infection within a month of scheduling. Super amazing! Definitely recommend!

Have had two appointments at this location, both had to be cancelled because their staff can't bother to show up!
