I really want to support this store because I love what they do with their resources. They donate to help build schools in Nepal. So with that said, I have been purging my apartment donating furniture, a full self help library of audio books and cd’s, paintings and more… I am one of those people that takes care of their items. So gently used is appropriate, some of the things still have price tags on them. I just brought over another load to be offered and instead of being greeted kindly, the person in the store was condescending to me, asking me what items I have to donate, because they only take certain things… This is new. On my previous loads the people were nice and dare I say, kind. When someone is offering nice items for free so they can profit, being rude is not acceptable. Instead of donating to this store I walked out. Life is too short and there are plenty of other places to donate to. So disappointed to be treated this way. This occurred on 8-1-23 at 4pm.

Used to be one of my favorite thrifts, I love their fill a bag deal which used to be only $10 but seems to have recently gone up to $15. That's fine, but in general I feel like the prices have gone a bit crazy here. I picked up a few things I was interested in but they were all priced higher than I felt was appropriate so I ended up putting them back. $9 for a dress, $45 for a random art print, $15 for a sweatshirt ...that's all more expensive than even Goodwill which is saying something. I overheard staff pricing items in the back and they were looking up every single item on eBay. I heard one person say "this item is going for $2 and $3 on eBay... Let's price at $6 and see what happens." Gross!! I had to just walk right out after hearing that. I know the cost of doing business in general has gone up but at the end of the day this is a THRIFT STORE that gets their merchandise for FREE. When the staff is doing online comps of each and every item before it goes out on the floor it takes all the fun out of thrifting and no longer feels like a treasure hunt for shoppers. Please reconsider your pricing practices.

Ya know, I used to really enjoy this shop but I’ve noticed a lot of items recently that are priced absolutely insane. The best part is when they price things and put “$50 on ebay”… like yeah ebay takes 13% and there are shipping and packing costs. You’d think a shop with volunteers could keep pricing a bit more competitive than they’ve gotten. I will say the employees/volunteers are very kind.

There are items Global Thift does not accept. Nothing about restrictions is listed on their website or anywhere else at this writing. Don't get invalidated trying to be a good samaritan by donating here unless you know their rules. Your efforts will be turned away.

Found a backgammon board game from the 1980s in mint condition for $10. It sells $25 on eBay.

We've spent more time thrifting over the past few months than we have in a long time so we've been checking out various spots everywhere we go. Global Thrift had a few things going for it. It's a pretty large space. They have a lot of people working on Saturdays so if you need help, just ask. Those people are friendly. Plenty of parking in an actual parking lot. Something for everyone. We popped in on a Saturday and they had a bag sale. As much as you could fit in the bag for a flat fee. Well, I did not realize we were talking a small plastic bag so that was my mistake. Check out the bags at the counter before you go crazy. I ended up with three or four bags because they decide what fits instead of you managing to fit what you'd like. Then they told me what a great deal I got over and over when I paid triple what I thought I was about to pay. My mistake. I should have pulled some things out of the pile. But it's for a good cause so I just followed with it. The racks are somewhat sorted by size, but if you have the time, check the other size ranges. I found a lot of misplaced items so you may just find a gem in the wrong spot. Finally, the lighting wasn't great and I ended up with a few things that had serious stains on them. My fault, but worth a mention so you can keep you eyes peeled too. I'd stop by again, but be more aware of what I'm looking for throughout the process.

Wonderful little thrift/antique shop. The volunteers there are so nice. Changes weekly. $2 kids clothes! Lots of nice kitchen stuff. Even the music they play is fun and inviting. Smells nice in there too

My husband and I recently relocated to Arvada. We were big thrift shoppers back in Wisconsin. We ABSOLUTELY love this store! Not only do they have a wonderful selection of merchandise (clothes, furniture, toys--you name it), the people who volunteer there are charming, funny and obviously love what they do. We will definitely frequent this place. I found two beautiful tops, a lovely sweater and a super fashionable pair of boots. My hubby found a toy HeiHei, the popular rooster from the movie, Moana. Our grandson will love it!! It's a WIN WIN place. You can find some things that make you happy and you'll become even happier knowing what a great cause you're contributing to.
