More update on 03/21:Frustrated with frequent disconnection of linked online account, we deposited check at the branch last afternoon. However, surprisingly, I got a message saying there's a withdrawal from my account with same account of what I deposited and my balance becomes negative. Thought of the bank or banker might try to steal our money, I called customer service. However, looks like this is how Huntington works now since I was told the hold on the check will show as a withdrawal message though I didn't have this issue when I opened and deposited check 2 years ago. Very very strange behavior from a bank with long hold time.Update:Another strange thing keeps happening with Huntington bank is that their backend department keeps suspended our externally linked bank account whenever I scheduled a transfer. Feel like they don't want you to transfer money for new account opened with them. Not sure they want you to disqualify for their promotion or not since there's a 30 days limit to have new money in. Out of 20+ years experience with all kinds of banks, it's the first time experience, very very bad. My time spent on dealing with the issue again and again worth more than the promotion already.Original post:I don't have issues with this branch. But run into several issues with Huntington bank recently. I linked my external bank account to transfer money to a new account I opened with them. Everything looked good and it just said linked with transfer scheduled same day I opened the account. Suddenly next day I got an email saying my linked external bank account is suspended. Customer service told me to bring bank statement to the branch office and I did though it's the first time I had to do it after dealing with many banks for 20+ years. They will also hold my CD money for 10 days without access. And what's worse is that they locked my online account simply because they didn't verify my external bank account online and wasted all my time even scheduled the transfer. I called customer service again and waited for almost 30min to reach someone who told me that they couldn't unlock my online account till I bring my external bank statement. Worst banking experience I have ever had. All other banks I used verify account electronically without such hassle. If they are able to suspend the account, why they need lock my online account and so I cannot do anything.
