I was referred to j&s …the shop that was installing my cam took the car to j&s for the tune which was quoted at $649… my car has scratches on the wrap, dirty finger prints all over the matte white wrap , then the tune with NO dyno (because of my wheel setup & bags…sigh) went from the quoted $649 to $900 plus. I didn’t find out until it was time to pay the bill at the shop since they took it for me and picked it up. I called J&s a couple times to get an explanation on charges, left a voicemail and never got a call back. I don’t care if my shop talked to you about why you charged …so much which seems extremely ridiculous and let’s not mention how much the scratches on my wrap will now cost me to get fixed… if you knew from the day you quoted 649 that it was an 8speed automatic then why not say at that time it would cost more? Make it make sense. Someone better come up with a better explanation and if your customers are calling you, return their call! Common courtesy and respect. I’m sure the response to this will be some excuse but you all couldn’t avoided this all by picking up the phone and returning a call.
Update: spoke to JR - as he mentions in his reply to my review, there was no communication with me, THE CUSTOMER. Makes sense why there was so much miscommunication on price quotes and what exactly would be done. I can’t imagine how much more I would’ve been charge from an actual dyno which again, was not done due to “wheel setup and bags”. Yet other tuners I have consulted would be able to run a dyno… but we will skip that part I guess.
Let’s be super clear that when I talked to JR the first time, the price breakdown was not provided to me, otherwise we would’ve discussed it at that time. Although I DID mention that there was what seemed some slipping of gears but we won’t get into that …will we? Anyway…My review has nothing to do with the quality of the tune so let’s not twist things because deflection gets old! My review has to do with your lack of respect and lack of communication for the person that funded this service, albeit through Top Edge.
As for the scratches … no one will take responsibility so it’s not worth the argument.
Lastly, the defensiveness I experienced on this call was uncalled for when I questioned the cost. I received a tune only and no dyno for over $900. That’s ok…you all must need it more than I do.
ANOTHER UPDATE: How was a TCM flash not done? Why wouldn’t it be done with the tune or even coordinated with Top Edge if you all couldn’t flash? So those gears missing and eventually getting stuck in 6th gear is because not J&S or Top Edge communicated properly on who should do the flash. Y’all are so lucky I don’t go in on all of you even worse than this review. You run a shady business and it’s all going to catch up to y’all in time. Do better…

I’ve been Going to J&S for nearly 10 years now & I have never had any type of issue with them at all! To me it is hard to trust shops but I know if I leave my cars with them they will take really good care of them & I know I can trust them! Here’s a few pictures of the cars they have worked on for me, they’ve done a cam job for me, procharger kit, headers, Tune, etc. they have also gave me knowledge on things that I didn’t know before, highly recommend them to all my people out there cuz I know they won’t fail them!

This place is the best! I was having crazy issues with my Camaro after installing a cam and having it tuned elsewhere, it just never ran right and would stall constantly. These guys had my car for 1 day and it’s like a new car it runs so incredibly good. I’m a master tech and I have been working in shops for 10 years but have almost never seen this kind of quality treatment. The prices are great, the people are obviously very skilled and the customer service side of things are great as well. 10/10 will recommend to everyone I know.

Tbss wouldn't pass emissions due to a bad tune after long tube header and exhaust put on and these guys street tuned it and solved all the issues .

Heard great things about this place and got recommended by a friend but sadly they did not seem very interested in Fixing my car or even provide the services there known for i went in 2 times, called about 4 times and even spoke to Shane simply said they would get back to me and never did. Wish their costumer service was better or even bother to call back and say they cant work on my carService: General repairs & maintenance

These guys know what they are doing and it shows. JR and Shane are both extremely knowledgeable and their pricing is on par with the quality work they do. I’ve had my truck tuned by them twice in lieu of numerous modifications and a built transmission installed along with some other new drivetrain components. Transmission had issues from the manufacturer and JR helped me deal with the manufacturer and the issues with the trans all while installing it in a timely manner. Truck runs great several months later and I have peace of mind that my money was well spent. They have gained a long term customer with what I have seen from them.

I have an LS swapped car. When it came time for the tuning J&S was amazing. They were able to give me a base tune with just the ECM out of the car. Doing this allowed me to iron out any leaks or problems with the build. After the build was complete I took it to them to finish the tune. While the car was there they even repaired one of the pins on the OBD2 port that was giving them a little bit of a fit. JR and Shane are extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend using them!

Have gone to these guys a few times now, they have dyno tuned my car, fixed some stuff me and my buddies installed, and are ALWAYS super up front and professional. They don’t hide things, they don’t bait and switch like most shops, they actually care about your car and in my opinion are the EXPERTS on LS engines in Colorado. From what I’ve seen they do dodge, chevys, and most any of your boosted/muscle cars. These guys are no joke. They really have experience and know what they are doing and will help you reach any goal. (As long as you have the budget of course.) you certainly are paying a premium but in my opinion it is worth every cent and then some because you are getting BEYOND premium service. Can’t wait til I can pay these guys to procharge my Camaro SS. Stop debating, go to this shop for your car. Period.

These guys are the BEST!! I asked on a Facebook group who they would recommend, and J&S was the most suggested. I am so extremely happy I took my Procharged Corvette to them to have the differential swapped out. While doing the programming they found issues with the tune and with the Procharger installation. They corrected all these issues and now my car runs better than it ever has. My Corvette is a Show car and they treated it as such as they promised they would, and they called me after I drove the car to insure I was happy with the tune and the job in whole. Their pricing was very reasonable, in the future this will be the only place I take my Vette and my other vehicles for any needed work I cannot perform.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Amazing shop! I brought my Cadillac Cts-V to this shop to get some oil leakage fixtures and a tune. When i took it up the first time for the oil leaks they were letting me know everything was going well and if they found other small problem that i did not know about in the car they would let me know right away. JR and Shane are both great people and very knowledgeable. Would 100% recommend this shop to anyone!Services: General repairs & maintenance

These guys are awesome! Talk about performance automotive knowledge. Not only that but they are honest! They hooked me up with the necessary components to make the pro charger kit I put on my Silverado actually perform properly. I always had problems after putting the kit and the guys at J&S were the only shop that knew what needed to be done. I’m really enjoying the truck now! Thanks a ton guys! See you when I’m ready for the next upgrade!
