I've always been a loyal Safeway customer at the location of 80th and Wadsworth. They have improved things quite a bit recently. Unfortunately, like with every other store, they have very few checkout lanes and lots of self check out. Even when, waiting to go through the checkout lanes, no one ever bags your groceries for you. It seems like the concept of service to the customer is old-fashioned anymore. It's just too bad.

This isn't a complaint about the stores but rather their poor website and app. I have tried to online shop at least two dozen times and after typing in the product I get a spinning circle and below that "no matching products found". I don't care how simple I make the request, the result is the same. Tonight I was looking for manicotti pasta. Nope. Okay, how about just pasta? Nope. I have tried using the internet via my phone and my computer to no avail. I have tried using the app to no avail. I guess I won't be finding out about the stores themselves because apparently they don't need my business badly enough to allow me to shop online. I haven't shopped at Safeway in more than a decade so no need to return now.

This is probably one of the worst safeways I've ever been too. For starters, Rhonda a manager there is just terrible and horribly rude to not only guest but to her employees. I myself have over heard the way she talks down to people there and I'm honestly surprised she hasn't been fired. It's no wonder they can't keep anyone there to work, why would they when they talked down like your worthless by her? She's also racist, apparently if your not an older white person, she'll have someone follow you around to make sure you don't steal. I thought safeway didn't allow that, what's the deal? I've shopped only a few times and have been followed around because of her. I also know a few past employees that used to work there and Confirmed that she does this. Fire that manager. There was another time while shipping I over heard a group of managers talking about how someone there applied for a position in hopes of moving up and they all where making fun of this person, how dare you and very unprofessional! Shame on on those managers! I will shop at Walmart over this garbage of a store

I, too, am really surprised by the negative reviews. Sure...our cashier wasn't overly friendly, but she did her job. I loved the layout of the store, it appeared clean, there was a great variety of food. I seriously prefer it over the King Soopers we've been going to. I thought the prices were decent, honestly. My husband and I know that we won't find any grocery stores that offer the prices we had at the Woodmans' Markets we shopped in Wisconsin. We will definitely frequent this store.

Rewards for gas should be the first thing asked for and the workers never ask for rewards number or go so fast I half to ask them whats the point of shopping at Safeway for my gas rewards if I never get to use them?

I was in the store the other day and I was dealing with one of the managers named Trenton and he definitely has an attitude problem and he is extremely rude! Has ZERO customer service skills and treats the customers like garbage. I have been coming to this location since it opened and I have never been treated as poorly as Trenton has treated me. Hopefully he can fix his attitude before he loses more customers.

There was one more than one occasion i come in here for simple ingredients to make a soup that I use Johnsonville hot Italian sausage. They hadn't had it any of the times I went in. I ordered through Instacart one time at this specific Safeway because that is what pops up, and the person actually found the product. No way I thought. It came frozen with a date of 1/21 on it. So y'all had in the back of the feeezer somewhere for who knows how long. Like really disgusting, how no one checks dates and/or rotates. I bought this kcup box this morning and really the BB date is JANUARY 6th 2022. Today is the 7th man. Come on ...check your products. I literally would shop there because it's slower than king soopers, but I'd rather deal with the crowds for fresher anything. When I find the pics of other outdated stuff that I've bought from here, I'll upload.

Well located and the store is fairly clean. There weren't many check stands open when I stopped by but they got me in fast enough. The produce section seemed well stocked and the isles were large with decent deals. For a local grocery store, this is a good option. I saw they had a deli so I'll have to go back and check that out later.

Just got home and checked my receipt. Yep, ripped off. Apparently they can only stay in business by overcharging you. Made the mistake of letting a couple of their coupons lure me in. False/misleading advertising on their whole roast chickens. 44-year clerk was clueless about everything, screwed up the coupons, overcharged on top of that. Couldn't get waited on at the deli, then finally caught the attention of an employee there that acted like I interrupted his favorite daytime drama. NEVER going back. Don't get fooled and go in to try to use their coupons; there's a reputable grocery store just across the street.

Safeway rewards are a great way to keep fuel cost down. Got fuel for $1.50, filled my tank for under $20
