An absolute amazing experience. Joey O'Donnell was outstanding!! We had a very difficult situation with a flight cancellation and he was able to work a miracle. This was despite tremendous stress juggling an array of challenges with weather, delays, and flight cancellations. Well done. Will definitely use again and recommend to others.

I had a very good experience with this Alamo location. Employee Emma is an outstanding personality who was also very efficient. No pressure to take "upgrades," the correct vehicle was there and ready to go, in good condition, and there were no surprises. I would definitely rent from this location again.

I recently had my car break down and due to covid was able to ride with the driver back to Denver. After calling around to get a one way booking to DIA Alamo said they had a car available at the lot, so I booked the car and they emailed me a confirmation. I had to uber over to alamo from where my car broke down and when I asked for my car I was immediately met with hostility. They had sent me a confirmation number no less than 30 minutes before and claimed to have a car on the lot for me. Overall very disappointed in how this was handled by Alamo.

I'm giving four stars to be gracious in difficult times, but I have to say that I'm very disappointed in the way a situation was handled at this location. I had a reservation at 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday in July 2020, but there was no one there to fulfill it. I waited over four hours in front of the Alamo desk, made multiple phone calls to the number posted at the desk and to the nationwide Alamo number, and still had no idea when or if someone would show up to rent me a car. The national Alamo people couldn't even guarantee that the Aspen location would be open the next day. They couldn't reach any of the Aspen people and were powerless to help in any way. I witnessed many other frustrated people trying to rent cars from the other companies, but they had no vehicles available for those without a reservation. At around 3:00 p.m., I decided to give up on Alamo and try Hertz. They had one vehicle available at that time, but it was over double the price of my Alamo reservation. I took it because I really had no other choice. Four days later when I came back to the Aspen airport to return the Hertz car, I visited the Alamo desk and told them about the situation that happened to me. They said there was nothing they could do because the desk attendant got sick and had to go home. It's certainly understandable that the person had to go home, but I think it's inexcusable for Alamo to leave customers in the dark. I had no way of knowing if someone would show up soon or if they would be closed the whole day, or maybe the whole weekend. I patiently waited over four hours on that Saturday, but it was all in vain. I left my name, email and phone number with the desk clerks and they said someone would contact me about the situation, but I never heard anything from Alamo. A couple of weeks later I wrote a calm, rational letter to the manager expressing my disappointment. I didn't get a reply, but to be fair, I didn't ask for one. However, I do believe that Alamo should reach out to customers who were affected by this situation. Hopefully they've contacted others, but I've never heard anything myself. I've rented with Alamo at least 12 times prior to this and have always been satisfied. Now I'm reluctant to use them in the future because of the lack of respect for customers in this situation.

Without a doubt the worst car rental experience I have ever encountered. Completely understaffed and using software that looked like it was from the 90's. I don't blame the people working there as much I blame whoever manages this location. We were scheduled to receive our car at noon - we didn't end up getting it until nearly 2:00PM. When we finally got in, the car was still dirty, had used paper towels in the cup holders, and a half tank of gas. I returned the car with almost three quarters of a tanks of gas full and was charged over $40 for not bringing it back full. I had to call Alamo customer service to get refunded.

if your looking for a car and a great experience this is the spot, McKinley went out of his way to correct error after error and delt with every hurdle that could get in the way between him and Chris's Chris's hospitable attitude there is no where else to go..

Great place to rent from, but if you're unfamiliar with the size of Aspen Airport that means you just need to be patient. I always call the morning of to confirm they have a vehicle ready for me. That's all you need to do, otherwise they always have taken great care of me. Been renting here for years! thank you!!

Don't rent from Alamo. I never will again. You will see in an earlier review they will overbook like airlines. Well, their approach makes no sense and their customer service employees are not trained. We reserved a car about 6 mos in advance and when we arrived they said their practice is to overbook so, no SUVs left and nothing to fit 6 people and our luggage. The Nissan Sentra they provided couldn't drive in the snow either. They said they were only scheduled for 3 returned SUVs and 15 reservations. They will give you a number to call and the reps are not trained and can't help. Perfectly nice employees, but a waste of your time calling any numbers they give you. So frustrating.

I rented a car in Aspen for several days before returning it in Durango. The day I returned the car, I opened the back door and put my suitcase in and then closed it before driving to Durango. About 6 hours later, I dropped the car in Durango, again opening the back door to retrieve my suitcase. Later that day, Alamo called and left a message that I hadn't elected additional coverage for damage and that the back fender of the car was damaged...which I would have noticed on one or both occasions when I opened the back door on that same day. I called and asked them to send me photos of the alleged damage and explained that there was no damage when I dropped the car off -- at which time no employee from Alamo checked the car for damage. They told me they would call me right back, which never happened. I smell a rat and have the feeling that this conduct may be pervasive w/in this company. Since I'm an attorney, I'm going to look into this thoroughly. Needless to say, I won't rent from Alamo again and would advise others to be wary.

Upon arrival we were given a dirty Nissan Sentera. The inside of the car was filthy — dirt, food crumbs, straw wrappers. We were in a rush and the rep only mentioned one other vehicle, so we dealt with the dirty car. The vehicle was one of the worst I've driven. It has horrible handling and no power, neither on the uphill nor the flats. When we returned the car after traveling to Evergreen, Denver, and Colorado Springs, the rep said all cars drive sluggish in CO due to the elevation. No. We have been to CO, rented cars, and rode with others. It's not an elevation matter of all cars — the car we received was dirty and underperforming. Also, when we pulled into the lot, the rep nearly hit us as he sped into the lot with another rental. I would not recommend Alamo for their vehicles or professionalism.

Terrible terrible service. I had a reservation for 9pm came at 9:05 and no one was there. Then couple weeks later had a reservation for 8 am. No one was at the desk. Had to go to another company because I needed a car to get to an appointment and paid almost double then my reservation because no one could bother showing up for their job. When I returned my other car, I asked the guy at the desk why no one was there and he said “Things happenâ€. Not even an apology. So thanks Alamo for costing me a fortune because “Thing Happenâ€. Never again.

I was charged $200 cleaning fee, I found out after more than a month, since My statement was sent to wrong email address. I was told it was charged because of smoking or marijuana. I have not smoked even once in my entire life, traveling with my small kids and 75 year old mom. The manager was not accepting their fraudulent charge, I like to call. The car was not even used, sitting in hotel garage for 2 nights before I decide to return it. First time I have seen such thing. I hope its the last time. I am wondering how such lies can be proven.
