Known locally as Ajax we visited in summer when it had shed its white winter furry coat and becomes a 11k ft green sanctuary. Offering blue-grass at the weekends, gondola rides and of course fresh mountain air. What’s not to like! Surprisingly busy!

Steep slopes and nice city; mountain views from the lifts are just fabulous: this year the snow was not a whole lot but they have high end retail shops at the base of the ski area.
