In the last 2 weeks I’ve had 2 packages lost, when I went to usps aspen center, they said the lady who was delivering was having a tough time. I was told that if I really wanted to find the packages I should go and look for the delivery vehicle somewhere in the town. An absolute joke of a service delivery. I would recommend avoiding USPS in Aspen, and rather using UPS, who are much more competent. USPS Aspen bursts with incompetence.

You guys be grateful for those people even being there for you. The wages these workers get, i wonder how they survive in Aspen or the valley.
If you want fast service, go to UPS or FedEx.
Stop taking photos of workers and posting their faces like the issue it’s them but not the system.

THE WORST! 20-90 minute lines every time, cranky, slow, lazy overworked staff, piles of packages no one can sort through, mail doesn't get delivered for days if ever, lost packages, fake delivery notices, clerks going on lunch break when there's a line of 10 people, excuses about everything ... the list goes on and on. It's been this way for as long as I can remember. Someone please help this sorry shell of a postal facility.

Amazing service and help. They are super understaffed so I understand the long wait. But I got there right after they opened and no one was there. The woman working there was so helpful and friendly. I saw people not getting their mail in the review but honestly you really need to check the address when they want you to confirm.

I would like to file a formal complaint regarding my recent experience with the post office in Aspen. During my two-week stay in Aspen without a jacket, I attempted to order one and explicitly requested in the delivery instructions to leave it at the door due to my unavailability to access my company's lockbox, as the owner resides in Europe. However, despite my specific instructions, the package was placed in the lockbox.
When I tried to resolve this issue by contacting the post office, my calls went unanswered as the phone rang continuously. Subsequently, I visited the post office in person to speak with a representative. Regrettably, I was met by a disinterested woman who displayed a lack of professionalism by diverting the conversation to unrelated topics and expressing inappropriate opinions on socialism and communism. This behavior demonstrated a clear disregard for customer care and service.
Furthermore, when I inquired about holding the package at the post office, I was informed that it could only be done after my departure. When I proposed having a friend pick up the package on my behalf, I was told they would need a copy of my ID. However, upon sending my friend to retrieve the package, they were informed that a written consent form was required, leading to further confusion and inconvenience.
I am deeply disappointed by the disrespectful treatment, misinformation, and lack of cooperation I encountered during this ordeal, resulting in a situation where I am unable to receive my belongings. This level of service falls far below the expected standards and reflects poorly on the post office's reputation.

We set up a PO box as they don't deliver to our apartment. When I spoke to a supervisor they said it would be free but we have been getting charged since. I order frequently from Amazon and have been sending smaller packages to my PO Box and larger ones to my door, but unfortunately I can't decide who delivers it. I have already tried to contact Amazon to change this but they can't do anything. Eventually, even my larger packages stopped being delivered to me. When asked, I was told to send everything to our PO Box, that, quite literally, they would "accept a grand piano delivery if needed". So the next large thing I ordered, I ordered it to my PO Box. Guess what? It doesn't get delivered. Instead, it gets sent back to Amazon. It's getting really frustrating having to deal with this. I've already escalated this to management but they are unhelpful. I should be able to get packages that I order, especially when I try to do it the way that they told me to do it. I wish I could have Amazon use only UPS or Fedex so I don't have to deal with this.

Worst post office experience of my life. Maureen is the absolute worst clerk ever. Avoid. Made a mistake and did not want to fix it. JR came to her rescue

That was probably the friendliest and best overall experience I’ve ever had at a post office. I didn’t experience any of the issues people are mentioning.

Aspen USPS is really in trouble ... I sent an envelope on 1/26/2024 and today 2/9/2024 it has not been delivered ... it has a status of "awaiting delivery" for over 6+ days. What's wrong with their system ... hire peeps to get the job done ... GEES!
