The Ault Post Office has great staff. The negative reviews are a reflection of people who don't like policies being followed. Contrary to belief those policies are not made by the Postmaster. Policies come from far above local management.

We had the best experience today getting passports for our children. The man working (and I apologize for not catching his name) was so friendly and wonderful to work with. We were in and out in no time, the process was seamless, and he was beyond fantastic to work with. The kids had their photos done and their passports processed. They walked out smiling and even got a sticker. Five stars for fantastic customer service!

Deborah needs some serious work on her costumer service skills. I’m aware that working at a post office in the middle of Ault Colorado can be miserable life to live but this lady is a different kind of unprofessional. We wished her a better day but after reading ALL of these reviews on her, it must be a personality issue 😬. I feel terrible for the kind young man who was working ALONE at the front, he kept his cool and remained professional and engaging even with the line of people waiting. Deborah just sat behind a wall on her computer and offered no help. Someone needs to reconsider why they have her working there. Put her in a basement somewhere where she doesn’t interact with the public.

Deborah was quite rude. Said they only take passport walk ins if they weren’t busy (I understand and respect that) she was just sitting around not doing a thing and I was the single only person in there yet was turned away, and would not offer an appointment time.

The older lady working the front desk seems very unhappy. She's quite rude and could use training in customer service.

The postmaster lady in Ault continues to return mail that DOES have our PO Box number on it. It does not do any good to submit the online surveys as she is the one who gets them and throws them away when they are about her poor customer service. Zero stars for her.

I'm not sure why there are so many poor reviews here. I found Debra and Kiley to be extremely helpful and professional. No, they do not "break the rules" like previous employees, but telling you "no" doesn't mean they are being rude. I do wish they would stop offering passport services, as that does add to the wait time to mail a package.

I think the fact that over 50% of the reviews are one star says all you need to know. The employees here are very rude. They make it incredibly clear how much they hate their job, which is incredibly unprofessional especially for a government position. The “small town” service is definitely non-existent at this post office. If you move into this area, find out who your mail carrier is. Your mail will not be delivered until you personally present yourself at the post office and introduce yourself and let them know where you live. There is an incredibly odd dynamic existing at this post office and it would be wise to avoid this office and the employees here at all costs.

Deborah is living up to her name. No reason to be rude but she makes it her job. I feel bad for her family because she seems like a miserable person who enjoys making others miserable too.

Couldn't get my passport done even though I was still on my appointment window time. They told me they had to reschedule because the next person was already there, well the other person was early and it was still my appointment time. I had everything ready and the other guy was still filling up paperwork. It was a waste of my time and they literally were not willing to help at all.

I had an amazing experience here. Both the gentleman and lady at the counter were extremely polite and respectful. They greeted and made conversation with every customer that entered the building. You would never get customer service like this at the Post Office in Fort Collins. I will be coming here for all my passport needs. They made it quick and painless, and not too mention, FUN!

I used this post office to get passports for myself and my family. The lady who works there, DEBORAH, is extremely rude and condescending. I had all of our documents ready, but because I had questions about some of the application and left that part blank, she turned me away. She said it would take too long and she had a full day. There was not an appointment scheduled after me, I saw her sheet and she never gave me my 15 minute appointment. She literally had me in tears with the way she was speaking to me. Ault is 1.5 hr round trip for me, so not what I was planning. Getting my spouses new passport was a similar scenario. I am from a small town in Colorado and usually these small local places are really friendly. I still need to finish my spouses passport and I'm dreading the next interaction with this lady.
