"No surprise that this bank has such a low rating. When I walked in, it was clear they were giving me disdainful looks. Unfortunately, banking while black is a real issue. What struck me as unusual was that when I wanted to open a business account, there were no private offices available. Essentially, the entire bank is involved in the process of opening an account. At least the guy helping me was very nice.

Opened accounts. They missed paperwork now accounts are locked. We don’t even want the account anymore. They lady don’t seem to know much about business accounts. Just wanted to push everything through as fast as possible.This place is not what I thought it would be. Staying with US BANK

Our family has been using Bellco Credit Union for years for our personal and business accounts. The branch manager, Julie is amazing, She is always willing and able to assist us with our banking needs.

After disputing unauthorized charges to my BellCo debit card, I was told that there was an "internal input error" on BellCo's part resulting in declining my dispute. After acknowledging that error on their part, they told me it was not possible to reopen the dispute, or file another one. Just to hammer that home - they made that error, even after repeated attempts on my part to provide accurate details and documentation regarding the disputed amounts. They have admitted the error was on their part, not mine. The result is that I am now out thousands of dollars (yes, thousands) for charges that were never substantiated. The BellCo representative I spoke with "apologized" and assured me they would be conducting "internal coaching" to prevent this in the future, but there was nothing further BellCo could or would do to defend my interests. I've been a BellCo member for several years with multiple accounts, and they will do absolutely nothing to protect my financial interests. I will be terminating my membership with BellCo in the near future. There are plenty of other credit unions that do care about their members, and that will defend their member's financial interests. I will be joining one of them soon. I encourage anyone reading this to do your homework before choosing a credit union. There are far better options out there.

They don't have notary services available and they said they couldn't change my name on my account in office. I'd have to send it in by mail. Not sure why after waiting in line and standing there will all the paperwork they'd need they couldn't just make a copy and make the change.Edited: Now, 5 years later they cancelled my credit card on accident and didn’t notify me at all. That could have made for a really awkward restaurant visit (sorry but your card was declined). I asked to close my accounts and they kept me on hold and tried to delay and distract me for 25 minutes all while I’m supposed to be working. This bank was a horrible experience.

Created an online appointment to open an account for a new business. Tyler was very attentive and helped me get the mobile app running, created debit cards and answered all of the questions I had. Very easy and painless process.

I have no kind words to say about Bellco. Do yourself a favor and find a different bank. All I wanted to do was open a savings account and because my current address is on the back of my drivers license (we moved) I was denied. What a joke!

When I first moved to this area over 5 years ago I started an account here. I had my primary but they offered good rates on home lines of credit. I still have it there to this day. All other service I've had has been horrible. Got a email end of June bout student accounts ....... Went in first weekend to open for my 16 year old..... brought ID and passport for 2 verification..... they wanted her social security card. The next weekend went back -today- a d then after waiting again 45 minutes to talk to Someone this person told me a passport, ID from state and social card wasn't enough. Now I needed a birth certificate too disappointing. Won't be back. Better just to go into Syria. At least you will get consistent service. ---- I've spent enough time on Bellco. Feel free to email, copy and paste my experience. If you want change you will. I won't be back so I don't need change. I need to change the bank all together. USAA has been great so far. I'm looking to refinance my home line as well. So bye bye

If there were a negative option for stars, I'd pick that one! I don't even want to waste the time to explain. Just DON'T! Go SOMEWHERE else (do a little researching first though, like reading other people's reviews for personal experiences. You're doing great already) Can't say they've screwed up every transaction. They HAVE screwed up EVERY single time it's mattered! We have young adult kids out of state and we cannot rely on this credit union for anything.... Third strike (more like 50th) Bellco... Out!

I usually have no problems with Bellco but… Can you guys please Fix your atm I know I have called about problems with it before, it didn’t work again today, and you have other comments on here from other individuals saying it’s not working. I’ve had Bellco for 12 years other than the atm problem they’ve been great.
