I have been volunteering with Canine Partners of the Rockies for several months and have been consistently impressed by the kindness, supportive nature, and compassion demonstrated by every team member I have encountered, from puppy raisers to staff and volunteers, and especially by the very skilled and very patient trainers, Kat and Michele. This collaborative and cohesive atmosphere truly embodies the organization's mission. Canine Partners of the Rockies' dedication to not only providing trained service dogs, but also ensuring thriving partnerships through ongoing support and personalized attention is remarkable. I am proud to be a part of this organization and highly recommend it to anyone in need of their services or looking to support a worthy cause. Working with happy, intelligent, and adorable puppies is just the icing on the cake, making the experience "pawsitively" fulfilling and rewarding.

Canine Partners of the Rockies came to our business for a DEI+B initiative training. They put on an engaging and thorough presentation about service dogs and the work they do for the community. A special shoutout to the trainers, Kat and Michelle, as well as Bridget, Hannah and Diane, who were all important participants in the presentation. Our team learned so much about service animals, etiquette, and accessibility in general. Thank you team!! (Plus, the cute dogs were an added bonus!) It is amazing the work these guys do for their mobility clients, and for Colorado in general, keep it up!

I have had the pleasure of volunteering at a few of Canine Partners of the Rockies' events and had a BLAST each an every time. Not only are the dogs cute, the people are even better. It is an honor to be able to help this organization that does so much wonderful work for their clients and the community. Training dogs to perform tasks and better the lives of their humans is a HUGE undertaking, and it isn't easy! So thank you so much for all of the work you guys do. A special shout-out to their clients as well, all of you are so amazing and such great advocates for the community and the dogs.

My daughter got us involved when she became a puppy raiser a few years ago. We really enjoy having the dogs around and attending the outings with all the dogs and fellow volunteers. Would definitely recommend volunteering for this organization!

We found Canine Partner's of the Rockies when my husband and I decided we wanted to be volunteer puppy raisers. We welcomed Piton into our home at 12 weeks old and raised him for the next two years. We attended the regular puppy classes each weekend and the group field trips. In addition to that, we took Piton everywhere we went to expose him to as many new places and situations as possible.Canine Partner's taught us so much about raising a service dog and the work that goes into it. The amount of time and effort that goes into training these dogs is amazing.During that time, our son was diagnosed with Autism. When Piton made it clear that he needed to maintain an exceptionally active lifestyle, shortly after receiving our son's diagnosis, Angela asked if we had ever considered an Autism Service Dog. We knew right then that it was Piton's destiny to remain with our family. Angela and the Canine Partner's staff worked with us to determine how Piton could be most impactful. They completely customized his training and even brought in other small children to help train Piton. Piton faced possibly the biggest challenge of his career by accompanying our son on a 10-day trip to Orlando including Disney World. Without Piton by his side, I am not sure our son, or our family, would have been able to enjoy the trip the same way. We have received continuous follow-up and always feel welcomed when we reach out with questions, needs for new or different tasks, or other support. We are eternally grateful for the work of all at Canine Partners of the Rockies and can't say enough about the impact their work has had on our family.

I've been working with Capr for about 7 years now. I puppy raised a do for them, and continue to volunteer to help any chance I get. I love the people and what they are trying to achieve. I love to give back to others anyway I can, and this is a great way because I love dogs and people. If only everyone in the public knew how much effort and dedication goes into training a service dog. The staff is dedicated to training a great dog to people in wheelchairs become more independent. Everyone is so loving and caring. These dogs are treated like royalty and all of them are all loved so deeply. I'm happy to be a small part of this great organization.

My husband and I have been puppy raisers for seven years. You can not find a better place to get help with acquiring a service dog! They are very careful with their puppy selections and raising in order to prepare the dog for a social, loving and happy helper! Our puppies are required to have social experiences plus they need to be exposed to various stimulation that they could find when helping their partner. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. They do not release a dog to their partner until both dog and partner are fully acclimated to each other. And the two partners can come back for regular “tune-ups”! I highly recommend calling them if you need help or if you want to volunteer. You can even visit them during one of their puppy classes!

If you're expecting to call up, fill out an application, and then be rewarded with a dog you're going to be disappointed with CAPER. They work with limited funds and rely on what clients are able to pay, as well as donations from sponsors. They are EXPENSIVE, but worth every single penny.

I read a couple of earlier reviews about negative interactions with Ruth over the phone. FYI, she no longer works at CAPR and does not reflect the character of the rest of the staff, board members or volunteers who commit their own time and money to placing dogs in Colorado. I helped them with fundraising for three years and based on my experience, they don't take shortcuts or place dogs that are not ready. Service dog organizations like CAPR never have enough dogs for the number of applicants, and it takes up to two years to raise and train a skilled service dog. My advice: if you qualify for a service dog, submit an application to CAPR - their program is the best - and consider giving them a donation so they can expand their breeding and training programs and match more dogs with owners!
