Subject: Urgent: Prescription Issue and Unfair Treatment To Whom It May Concern: I hope this email finds you well. My name is Keith T, and I wanted to bring a concerning incident to your attention regarding a recent interaction with your pharmacist, Wendy Rast. On 01/03/2024, I had an appointment with my primary care physician, Dr. Baker, at UC Health. During my visit, Dr. Baker informed me that she had received a fax from Wendy Rast requesting my prescriptions to be filled elsewhere. This was surprising and alarming news to me, as I have never engaged in any form of abusive behavior towards Wendy or anyone else at CVS. I want to emphasize that my prior complaint about Wendy was based on her unprofessional conduct, particularly her rude behavior and disrespectful attitude towards another customer. I expressed my concerns to her, using strong language to describe the observed behavior, but at no point did I engage in any personal attacks or abuse towards her. It is both legally and morally troubling to learn that a pharmacist can refuse to fill legally prescribed medications due to a customer expressing their observations or concerns. I firmly believe that expressing my dissatisfaction with Wendy's conduct does not warrant denial of a service that is essential for my health and well-being. This situation raises concerns about potential violations of my First Amendment rights, as I believe I have the right to express my opinions, especially when they are related to the professional conduct of employees. Additionally, given my disability, this denial of service may be seen as a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). I have attached the fax communication for your reference. I would appreciate it if you could thoroughly investigate this matter and address it accordingly. I am open to discussing this further and finding an amicable resolution. Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue. Sincerely, Keith T.

There is a reason this pharmacy has so many 1 star reviews. I spoke with a gentleman on the phone before going to the pharmacy about a very specific need; he assured me he would take care of it and my prescription would be ready the following day. When I arrived to pick up my prescription I was informed that everything he told me was incorrect. The staff was very rude to me (and while I was waiting in line I could hear the way they talk to each other which is not overly kind either). I asked to speak to the pharmacy manager and instead of showing empathy and apologizing for her team member giving me incorrect information she insinuated her team's rude behavior was my fault. Patients do not deserve to be treated so poorly.

If you can go to another pharmacy (literally any other pharmacy, even another CVS I would). Today I called and was greatfully helped with a time sensitive medication I've been trying to get approved, I was told in the phone by a male that I would be able to pick it up and that they closed at 6:30 on a Sunday. Online, it stated 6pm so I double checked. He assured me it was 6:30. I showed up at 5:50pm and the pharmacy tech (Wendy) that was there very rudely told me they were closed. I asked how that was possible cause I had talked to someone earlier who said 6:30pm, she told me 6pm. I looked at my watch and told her it wasn't 6pm yet, and I need this medication tonight as it's time sensitive. She then very rudely shrugged and said "you'll just have to go somewhere else, we all have lives outside of here to get to". I have been a patient/customer here for more than 5 years, and how I was treated is completely wrong. I did go to a 24 hour CVS pharmacy where they explained that the system does shut down on them, but given that was not the explanation I was given, and how I was treated they were apologizing on the other stores behalf! I unfortunately was not able to get my medications switched over and will have to return in the morning. It's extremely frustrating and saddening to see how they treat a patient. I work in health care (I have been beside in a hospital, urgent care, and outpatient settings for 10 years). I know it's tough and frustrating but that's never ok to treat someone this way. I hope they choose to retrain staff how to treat people like patients and help people since that's what their mission statement says: "We help people with their health wherever and whenever they need us. And we do it with heart."

Prescription ordered from physician. Received voicemail that it was ready. Arrive at pharmacy when I’m informed there’s no prescription. I have voicemail that proves it was sent by pharmacy! Was told it was up to me to call Dr. and have them reorder my medication!! Female pharmacist was rude, and couldn’t be bothered with helping a customer!Really? This is why they have a 2 star rating!! I’m only giving the 1 star to the gal that was waiting on me! Won’t go back to this CVS!

I used to go to the CVS in Target in Highlands Ranch and Walgreens in Highlands Ranch. They were great, when we moved to the 80016 zip code we started with the Walgreens on Smoky Hill and Aurora Pkwy. They were horrible. So switched to the Target CVS, the were okay not great, but during Covid there weren't many choices. The Pharmacy has been getting progressively worse. Today the broke the camel's back. The sent me a notification that my monthly recurring prescription was ready late Monday PM, I couldn't go yesterday, so I went this morning and was told they don't have a prescription filled for me. EXCUSE ME you texted me that it's ready, I showed her the text, so she looked and said they don't have it in stock, which means they gave this 'in demand' prescription to someone else in my mind. I asked ( did not offer ) if one of their other stores has it. She says, yes in Parker. Gave me the number to call. I told her shouldn't they call ( at least Walgreens can transfer prescriptions to another store - even out of state ) not me. She said no, I need to. So basically, they made me waste my time to come into their store and then I need to chase after the prescription. Forget it, I am done with CVS. Worst store ever, I don't understand why people bother to go there.

This is the worst pharmacy, hands down! Michelle, one of the pharmacists is the only one with a shred of decency. We are avidly looking for a new pharmacy. Trying to get refills for a medicine each month has become the bain of our existence. And the incompetent employees are no help. When you keep doing the same thing over and over and over, and it doesn’t work, you try something else. Be smart enough to let the insurance company know in a pre-Auth that you don’t have generic! It would go along in helping us get brand name paid for, which our insurance has done.By the way, don’t ever tell the nurse working on behalf of our family to help get us the medication we need, to not call back again today because you aren’t filling the prescription. You don’t work for the customers. And you certainly don’t care about them! Horrible staff, with the exception of Michelle. Stay far, far away!!!

We are here for Type 1 diabetes supplies frequently. Our insurance likes to give the run around and those out front try and help troubleshoot any problems we have…grateful for the help!

I had a prescription I needed transferred as after they told me they had it, they then informed me they do not and had no idea when they would.I found another pharmacy that had one of what I needed left in stock. That pharmacy called 3 times asking CVS to transfer it. After 4 hours I called and asked them to, was told they were doing it right then and it had to be faxed. I asked so it should be there now. No I was told it would take about 1 hr to fax. Odd since they told me they were doing it then and since when does it take 1 hr for a fax to go through?I explained that this other pharmacy closes in a few hours and they only have the one left. 1 h our later still no script. I called again and was informed now they are doing it. I tried to stress again the urgency. Was told they are getting to it.The other pharmacy tried again an no result. Finally the other pharmacy was able to get the pharmacist on the phone to verbally share it. I had 10 min before close now to pick it up. It should never have taken that long.Customer service is completely gone from this pharmacy now. I would not go back

CVS pharmacy in target off of gartrell is an amazing pharmacy. Great prices, staff is always willing to help you find the best price. I always feel like family and ask the staff and pharmacist questions related to health and medication.

I have an emergency seizure medication that is filled every fourteen days (have seizures at random intervals, sometimes none, sometime 6 in a two week period). I paid for a full qty (4) of my prescription, to realize only qty 2 were filled; not only is this an issue for my needing the medication, but also paying for 2x what I received. I called the pharmacist and explained to her, that I can't understand why you would fill one and charge me double; also explaining I needed the meds and am not waiting 8 Then proceeded to tell me that despite paying for four, and having to pay for another four in 8 days, I will only receive 2, because "I don't control their copay." Getting frustrated, I tried to explain to her that one, that makes no sense, and two I need four of these; it's what my prescription calls for, and I haven't had it filled in 16 days. After telling her this, I also went on to explain to her that I will be traveling this coming week for a month, and needed this prescription before leaving. First she chuckled. Then stated "this wouldn't be a problem anyways... you'll need to get more there.. if you didn't use them so often this wouldn't be an issue anyways." I hung up the phone after that, as I was close to loosing my cool - that was not only unprofessional, but hurtful, and borderline unethical. I'll be reporting the pharmacist on staff, and will be moving to a separate location. Horrible people here.

I would warn anyone who may have a more complex prescription to avoid this pharmacy or at least dealing with the pharmacist. My husband get a prescription filled every two weeks at this location and I call the day before his ex is to be filled to make sure that they have all the information needed to fill this prescription. We have had issues getting this prescription filled in the past so I try to help this process along so that my husband is never out of his medication.Last week on Tuesday I called this pharmacy and asked them if they had everything they needed to fill my husbands prescription, after a few minuets I was told yes it is good to be filled and will be ready the next day, Wednesday, in the afternoon. I then went to the pharmacy the next day to pick up the prescription and to my surprise it was not ready because they were missing information. I was very frustrated because I called the day before and specifically asked if they had everything so I could reach out to our doctor to get it corrected. My doctors office said they never get any facts on prescription issues from this pharmacy so I try to make sure I call out office when I know there is an issue needed to be resolved. Not only was the pharmacist rude and unprofessional to me on more than one occasion, she also was the same way to our doctor when she called to find out what the issue with the prescription was.I just can not fathom the level of unprofessionalism in yelling and being rude to a customer trying to get a prescription and then be unwilling to provide information on what is needed to get it fixed!! If you don’t want to deal with people with kindness and compassion then you shouldn’t be a pharmacist.I would warn anyone to proceed with caution if wanting to use this pharmacy as your home base. The only positive I can say is every time I call or go in in person and talk with Sydnie or Paul they are very helping, kind and willing to assist in anyway they can. They are the saving grace of this pharmacy.

Terrible experience. Waited 1.5 hours with two kids under 3 for a flu shot that I made and appointment for. I put in my insurance info when I booked the appointment. To get there and have them ask for it again. They proceeded to make me pay $46 for a flu shot. I didn’t have my wallet because my insurance covers a flu shot in full. They would not give me a flu shot until I paid. A stranger paid for me and I sent her a Venmo. Meanwhile there was no claim sent to my insurance. Cvs/Target pharmacy does not want to help or figure this out. Could not be more disgusted and disappointed.

This is the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever interacted with. Target needs to do some customer service training with their pharmacy teams. It’s a joke, the pharmacist refused to come talk to me about getting my sons prescription. Refused to call the doc and insists that we have to wait for the doc, but when I call the doc they immediately answer and have said they have responded to the pharmacies question.1.5 year old with a 102 fever, it has been 2 days and this place hasn’t filled the prescription.
