They have trouble keeping this store stocked cuz it is so large. It Is difficult to find things. But I am a repeat customer because it is close by and is the only one left in Aurora besides the one at Hoffman heights that I know of

This store has always been my go-to and favorite location because of the employees and the stock.
However, today I had an experience that left me so livid.
First, the store manager was berating their employees over the intercom for all to hear. I avoided their lane when checking out because that was incredibly disrespectful and I didn't want to deal with that. Then they were loudly berating customers and even *literally* yelling at random children. I ended up in a lane with a very sweet but clearly exhausted and overwhelmed employee who was actually fantastic and I really appreciated her, but somehow the store manager ended up at the lane "helping" where she berated this employee even more.
I was purchasing tote boxes and quite a few small items for my kids' valentine's day party at school this week, and had intended on using the totes to carry everything out to my car since the standard is that dollar tree carts don't go outside. I loaded everything on to the belt, then walked over to start packing my items into the tote boxes in a way that would allow me to carry them all.
The manager snatched them from my hands, proceeded to block me from touching anything while holding on to the totes for dear life, and said "no, this is gonna stay right here."
So then I just stood there, watching as they threw everything haphazardly into the totes. The overwhelmed employee came over and started trying to help her and I said, "I'm so sorry, i want to help" And she looked at her manager and said "no, you're totally fine." So I just continued standing there.
I thought that was all I'd be dealing with, until the manager said, "you know the carts don't go outside, right?" And I responded with, "right, they go right over here, do they not?" While pointing at the cart corral area. They rolled their eyes and scoffed with, "you're not getting it, how are you leaving the store with all this?"
And I said, "i understood you just fine, dont worry about it, I got it."
They started to raise their voice at me and I can't remember what they said at that point because I was getting so heated at their behavior and treatment of literally everyone in the store.
They finally let me touch my items, and I had to stand there for an extra 10 minutes reorganizing things in a way that would allow me to close the lids and stack the totes on top of each other so that I could carry them, all while they were aggressively pushing and tossing my things around.
I finally got a hold of everything, and the sweet employee opened a door for me, so i let her know I appreciated her and that she was doing a fantastic job.
In closing, if you prefer to be treated with respect and decency, don't shop here until it is under new management.

Came to get medicine and people were there but the doors were locked. Google says 10 the door says 10. Very disappointed 😞

TERRIBLE WHEN IT COMES TO CHECKING OUT!!! Only one lane open most times…. Super long line being ignored by other co workers!!! I’m OVER IT.

This store has been closed now for more than 3 months after being told that it would only be closed for one week because of a plumbing problem... even though the staff was very rude to customers, the store was very convenient for myself and others in this immediate community, looking forward to it re-opening along with a brand new staff..

I went to get quite a few things but the line was so long and only one person at the register, yet there were 4 people stocking, why couldn't they help her? especially a busy dollar tree like this one. I like this dollar tree because they are more stocked than other dollar trees i have been to. I will just have to come early in the day.

Stores are a mess. Apparently the higher management is cutting hours to the employees and don’t have enough staff. For the good maintenance of the store, should give more hours to the staff they have available. If this is the way they do business, the higher management (not stores managers…they are awesome!!!) should be changed. BTW, remove the NOW HIRING advertising from the stores.
