went there as i always do, (OCT13 at 22:30) with the clerk watching me and collected a few drinks from the fridges and a food item and went up to the self check out to not inconvenience the clerk and it wasn’t until i got up to the self check and tried to pay twice that he finally told me the credit card processing is down and they are cash only. he watched me collect all my items and try to pay like some humiliation ritual before telling me they couldn’t process my payment. absolutely rude and humiliating behavior at this location by employees.

I am no longer coming here because of one girl that works the front, came in on 8/28 at 4:18pm and she denied my purchase. I've been coming here for a while now and never had an issue untill she started.

A couple of weeks ago, I witnessed something at this Maverik that left me heartbroken and deeply unsettled. I normally don’t write reviews, but what I saw weighed on me enough that I felt I couldn’t just stay quiet.
While I was inside, I noticed a staff member who seemed to be working very hard, trying to keep up with their responsibilities. Out of nowhere, a kitchen manager began yelling at them in front of everyone. It wasn’t just a quick correction or a raised voice—it was belittling, harsh, and cruel. The staff member’s face said everything. Their shoulders slumped, their expression broke, and it was clear they were holding back tears. You could tell how much it hurt them to be treated that way, and it was painful to watch as a customer.
No one deserves to be humiliated at work, especially in front of others. People come to their jobs to provide for themselves and their families, not to be broken down. I couldn’t stop thinking about that employee afterward, wondering how many times this happens behind the scenes and how it must feel to dread coming into work every day. It made the whole place feel heavy and unwelcoming, knowing that someone could be treated with such disrespect while management turned it into a display of authority.
This experience completely changed how I see this location. It wasn’t just bad service—it was watching a person be crushed in real time by someone who should be leading and supporting them. It was sad, disheartening, and disturbing. I truly hope the company takes a hard look at what’s happening here, because no one should have to endure that kind of treatment. Until then, I don’t think I can ever feel good about coming back.

Breakfast Burritos:
What do you do when eggs and cheese are expensive in an egg/cheese/chorizo/ potato burrito? You raise the price. Then you make the customer ring themselves up so you can have less employees. Then, you just completely removed the egg and cheese but still slap the egg/cheese/chorizo/potato label on with the higher price point. I mean, who doesn't want a tortilla filled with potatoes in the morning when they thought eggs sounded good. Thank you Maverick for making this decision for me that I couldn't make for myself.
This is Genius! Charge more money, layoff employees, then sell someone something that they're not actually getting. Maverick should really continue with this! Maybe water in the gas next!

Maverick just got on my list of less favorites places to stop, bad customer service, they’re not allowed to sell you fresh cinnabon when they have it in front of them, turns out you have to take what’s been out there ( on the shelf) and heat it up yourself in their microwave, that really sucks specially since I asked two different staff members, will not comeback to buy cinnabon from this location no more.!!!

Always turning off the self checkout when it's packed and there is only 1 person behind the counter. And if you ask for them to turn them on, they look at you like you are an escaped prisoner.

Been going here for years, clean gas station with good food however, when I came in today, there was an employee at the counter talking with another employee. She was talking about what seem to be an annoying customer, and she was Using extremely foul language that could be heard throughout the store. Seemed very unprofessional, and I felt very uncomfortable standing right there and checking out

I do not like using Maverick and if I could find E85 anywhere else I would go there.. I actually feel sick every time I have to use Maverick to fill up..I wish I could pay 4.35 a gal but I keep coming where I hate to go because of money..I am seriously considering. Buying a new car just to be able to give up Maverick..it is the biggest pain I have ever had to deal with every time I fill up.
Once a week I endure my totally disgust of this place to fill up. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

This morning 4-25 the two employees behind the food counter continue to ignore me while I waited patiently. Then when I finally asked for cinnamon roll, the first one just pointed so I walked over there and the second one said what do you need and I said a cinnamon roll please and she said either there or there and I said so you don’t do them hot anymore and she said not when there’s nobody here. Will never be back very very rude

This store closes their restrooms after 8:00 pm. I thought the Maverick company prided itself on providing clean and ACCESSIBLE restrooms. What gives?
