Honestly, I’ve hesitated leaving this review for a year now. Last November I purchased a used Subaru from Kelso at Protech. I understand it’s a used car, but out of the gate was over 2k in repairs to make it pass emissions and quit leaking oil. Yeah, yeah- the seller is supposed to take care of emissions, but I was told Kelso was a “really good dude” so we skipped that part during the sale. Only after I went to Air Care multiple times did I realize I’d been suckered by this weenis.
I paid Kelso/Protech full asking price for this vehicle. Again, because their reputation was that he’s such an honest, good dude. One year later I still have so many problems with this vehicle. Everything about it is a piece job. Nothing is put together with the correct parts. The turbo was bad within a week, the top end had to be rebuilt right away, the exhaust had a hole in it, the tie rod boots left the chat years ago, the steering rack was trash, all axels needed rebuilt, there was a sharpie cap in the intake, the suspension on all corners was bad, operating the fog lights caused a small fire, there’s hidden rust all over the body covered by what looks like marker, the rear wiper didn’t work, interior lights don’t function correctly, the trunk doesn’t open, and I could still go on and on and ON AND ON.
This should’ve been a part out and y’all knew that and instead you took advantage of a single woman.
Bottom line - stay the hell away from this shop. They’ll take all your money and never blink twice about it..

Kelso was super helpful. Oil pan was destroyed another shop quoted me $1500+ and they tried to get more repairs out of me. I took it here Kelso told me it was just my oil payed and saved me on the price. I’ll will be recommending to everyone I know.

I took my car in at 10:30 a.m. this morning They called me an hour and a half later told me the problem. Their price was extremely reasonable, My car was fixed and I was back on the road by 3:00 p.m...... I used to take my car to Christian Brothers all the time They would have charged me double. Protech Auto now has all my business.

Great shop, very easy to work with, in and out same day for plugs and engine mounts. Labor rate is $180/hour which is pretty standard everywhere these days. If I don't post back repairs were great!

Excellent work! Thanks for finding the rusty bolts that needed replacing. The rusted bolts could have failed if they had been reinstalled. Safety first through preventive maintenance. My family will drive a much safer car. Thanks for the professional experience at Pro Tech!

Why are these places allowed to stay open and scam customers?!? They don't work on older vehicles.They advertise that they do only to find out it's all smoke and mirrors and false advertising

A huge thanks to Gerald and Kelso and the whole crew at Pro Tech auto for taking such good care of our family truck. When things weren’t running right, we brought it into the shop and they worked tirelessly to get us back on the road. When we still had issues after taking it home, they covered the cost to get it towed back and make it right. Thanks to them, we have our truck back now and it is running better than ever. I would highly recommend them for all of your classic car needs.

Man $20,000.00 into a car that still leaks oil. My rear axle came detached from my vehicle at 40mph after they gave it the thumbs up. Then i had to pay more for that. They took no responsibility for anything. My total also grew by $5000.00 without me knowing. Rhey just added it on so at the end i was real surprised. Dont put yourself through what i went through just because protech pays for extra advertising. Youre better off going to grease monkey or something. Very dishonest company. They take no responsibility for the mistakes they make. Terrible morals as far as companies go. The owner wont even call me back. What a joke.
