Volleyball of the Rockies (VOTR) is a large volleyball entity offering leagues, tournaments, and clinics for all skill levels on grass, sand, and hard courts. Founded in 1989, it has grown into a thriving community for weekend warriors, ex-college players, and volleyball addicts. It is described as a little gem, providing a nice place to play sand volleyball even in the middle of winter, with both indoor and outdoor courts available. The facility includes a bar serving some of the best bar food around, with a surprising meal and drink selection and great deals. The environment features clean bathrooms and nice people. While the indoor space can smell a little musty, it is not bothersome for long. Some feedback notes a desire for more casual volleyball activities on weekend nights and suggests a policy change for large tournaments to prevent spectators from monopolizing prime viewing areas with personal tents. Overall, it is a really nice place where people have SO much fun and plan to return.

The Island has been a big part of our lives for over a decade now. The staff and bartenders are amazing, the food is great, and VOTR runs great tournaments throughout the year.Especially love the annual Volley for Charity tournament. It’s an incredible event for a great cause!
