The most unorganized establishment I have ever dealt with. I believe the practices are unethical, and the so called doctors are the rudest ppl I have ever dealt with. I plan on moving to another state just for better health care.

If you want a place that values your life avoid this hospital at all costs. Arthur Janis’ hair was cut off without his permission! How much more do you want to take from them; their land, clean water, their lives, and now their sacred culture! Do better Colorado

Doctors don't care about their African American patients. They discharged my grandmother numerous times worse than she came. These are the rudest hospital staff I've ever encountered. Everyone is constantly confused on what the plans are, I get it's a teaching hospital but dang are yall learning anything?

Every member of my family who has walked through these doors never came out alive. When I was here, I was in a coma. When I became competent, I demanded to leave.I was taken to St. Luke's where they were able to figure out what was wrong with me in a matter of a few hours. I don't want University Hospital to EVER play with my life. I'm not for medical research.

This hospital doesn't cRe about you, only your money. The doctors will take advantage of you just so they can earn more money. Lots of unnecessary testing they try to get you to send. $300 for a urine screen drug test they tell you is just part of a regular primary care visit.

Absolutely love this hospital! They took such good care of me when I had my baby. All the nurses and doctors were amazing and answered every question or concern we had. The doctor who delivered my baby (I can’t remember her name unfortunately) was such a bad a$$! This was my first baby so labor was taking a bit. I was pushing and pushing but she had to get called to the room next door as that baby was Ready. She came back about 20 minutes later, washed her hands, put some gloves on and was like “let’s do this.” What a queen! Added the photo of my husband and the “dad walk” ?

I came to the emergency department entrance on 12/7 at 6 pm or so. A black lady who did not look good came in before me. She was in a wheelchair and had an oxygen tank. A guard approached her and asked what was going on. She said heart failure. The guard acted appropriately and quickly. He took her back to the check-in. One of the people sitting at the desk at the entrance who I think was named Leo rudely informed the guard, I think Randy was his name; that the oxygen tank was stolen from the hospital. The guard informed Leo that she had come in with it. In front of everyone, Leo raised his voice and, in a very rude manner, insisted the oxygen tank was stolen from the hospital. The guard then stated it may have been, but that is not my concern right now. Leo rambled on about how the tank is stolen and something needs to be done. I feel Leo's handling was very petty, given that the lady was talking about heart failure. The guard seemed intimidated by Leo. I have worked for a company that hired an outside security contractor before, so I know how the dynamics work. I am not sure if that is because Leo works directly for the hospital, and the guard is a contract employee at the hospital. Based on Leo's actions; I choose to leave and not be seen at your hospital, as my first impression was not a good one. I was impressed with the guard, but not with Leo.

Walked into the ER under my own power, got x-rays and an EKG, was told I was fine and walked out under my own power. Imagine my surprise when I got a bill for almost 10,000 dollars! Most of it is an "emergency room fee". I was charged at the highest level even though I only went in as a precaution. I tried to dispute the bill and according to them they charged me correctly. I understand paying for the services I received and even a fee for using the erBut 10k?? Really? How is this legal?

I went to the e.r. a few days ago..by ambulance. I was there for 5 hours! And they didn't even catch that I had thrush. I do NOT want to go back! I'm struggling in pain now. Who wants to wait in major pain and sickness for a 2nd time?! Not me. And instead of wheeling me out in a wheelchair..they said there's the exit!

I have not had great experiences with UCHealth hospitals or doctors. I was seeing a neurosurgeon at UCHealth spine clinic. The doctor was OK, but the receptionist was horrible to deal with. She is rude and does not care about the patients at all. The hospitals are dirty, and most staff are not kind. Emergency rooms are very dirty unorganized, and staff is marginal at best. I got better service before it was bought out and turned into UC Health. Buy the way complaining to UC Health about being treat horribly by a receptionist never got answered. So not only do some UC Health employees treat patients with total disrespect so do the patient representatives by covering up and not even answering a complaint. The office manager even lied right along with the receptionist claiming the phone system is not working properly and that is why I never received a call from them canceling my appointment. Instead I got told off by the receptionist and lied to.

followed up with patient care to let them know of my concerns and issues with how my family was treated during a life changing experience we had to get through (teen mother childbirth) and the healthcare that was administered and no one has followed up. This hospital just do not care how they doing people anymore! Making note we are on Medicaid and we're black!

Horrible hospital. Came in the ambulance with my boyfriend so they checked my bag and my belongings that they took (vape, lighter, hair cutting scissors) they put in a ziploc bag with my name for me to pick up when I leave. When I returned to get my belongings they were nowhere to be found and were “thrown away or lost”. The scissors costed over 500 dollars and they did not care to solve the issue or give any names of a supervisor or the woman who put my things in that bag. Aside from that, they gave my boyfriend a medicine they knew he was allergic to and when he had a reaction that lasted HOURS they looked at him and treated him like a drug addict. He was brought to the hospital for throwing up lots of blood and after 5 days there all the blood tests and scans showed “nothing” was wrong with him. Do not bring your loved ones to this hospital and make sure you empty your bag before coming.

The ICU nurses were great! And so were the "step down ICU" nurses. My issue was with the general floor nurses, specifically Grace P. She was very rude to my mother and made comments that caused my mother to have a bad panic attack. I spoke with the charge nurse and had my mothers nurse changed for the night, but other than that nothing was done, when I spoke to Grace P she called me a liar and stated she never said those things. I will be calling and reporting her behavior, but I would definitely steer clear of her if you can - her bedside manner was horrible and she did not have a clue what she was doing. My other issue with the hospital is : When my mother got admitted to the ICU, she came straight from the airport via ambulance. As soon as we got there I was bombarded by the social worker named Kat. Kat was trying to send me home (to a different state) with out my mother, or with out any knowledge of what was going to happen. I said I would be staying (for obvious reasons) and her and her co worker, Jeff, proceeded to call me multiple times during the following days trying to get me to leave, Jeff even went to the point of sending the chaplain "Chyanne" in to speak with me about leaving after I stated I did not want to see or speak with the social worker due to them harassing me. My other issue is the case manager "Kayla" who provided no help at all. My mother requested to speak to her multiple times during her 8 day stay, and Kayla refused to come and speak to my mother. When we finally got ahold of her, via phone call, she was very rude and stated she could not help my mother. Overall I give the ICU (and step down) nurses and doctors a 5 star review, but beyond that I give the hospital and staff a 3 star review due to the unprofessionalism by the staff who is supposed to help, but only made things harder on my sick mother. If you are a out - of - towner, I recommend you stay clear if possible. It is a huge hospital and no one can effectively communicate, and you/your family will be offered little to no support or help.

Just a tiny bit about my absolutely horrible experience at UC Health . I wouldn't go there if you have a parent that has any type of dementia or Alzheimer's. God forbid your number in the position as a parent where you have a child in prison because that's the position I'm in and when my daughter got hurt by boiling hot water from another inmate and was taken to the burn unit at UC Health they absolutely love the fact or seem to love the fact that it's my opinion they love the fact that they don't actually have to work with you or be respectful in any way. The nurse is in the burn unit I was having an issue with the way that they were talking to me when I was trying to figure out how to get records the nurses response to me is I asked her how do I get records can you tell me how to get records no how do I talk to you the chief of stuff I don't have to tell you what is your name I don't have to tell you can you help me find a information about getting records no. Then after figuring all that out on my own with absolutely no help from UC Health I had the prison send over a release of information but when I get on the phone with the supervisor she is just nasty acting like she don't have to talk to me cuz I'm I'm nobody I'm a parent and I'm nobody did she say that no was her demeanor like that absolutely so if you have a parent that has Alzheimer's and you don't yet have rights to that information good luck getting any help good luck with getting any type of assistance trying to make sure that the place that they're going which might be a nursing home good luck getting records good luck getting assistance below is attached in actual letter from the records department a supervisor who has absolutely no respect for the public if you have someone in prison you're trying to assist that's actually been assaulted with boiling hot water at the Denver women's correction facility here's the letter. Hello Cindi, I am letting you know that the requests that the jail provided, asking for records on Laci, have been fulfilled. They asked for, and received the medical records they needed. On the other hand, I not received any email from you with information you were going to provide. Anything that the Department of Corrections sent has nothing to do with you personally requesting records. Any releases we have from them do not have anything to do with your requesting records. These are completely separate. We have nothing stating you are entitled to these records. You sent a release and received a letter stating that more information was needed, as the signature on the release did not match Laci's signature from her Epic chart. Also, no form of ID was sent. The only way at this point to receive records on your daughter is for her to file a Power of Attorney naming you as her agent. Until we receive that, you will not be receiving your daughter's medical records. Alicia B HIM Release of Information uchealth.org 719-365-5277 cid:
