Whooooooaaaaaaa, what just happened ? I am shaking while typing this as Jesse Lasater with Bayfield Realty JUST LITERALLY made our Family's DREAM HOME become a REALITY ! ! !
Our Family relocated to La Plata County from Southern Cal' just about 8 Months ago and we have been exhaustively looking for a Home that fit our Family's needs.....and it became apparent throughout the search that our preferences had a tendency to change with the topography of properties being shown.....
We started our search back in July '23 and felt MOST comfortable in choosing Jesse Lasater to act as our Agent based on his HOMEGROWN knowledge of not only our preferred locale, but also his extensive knowledge of areas outside of our preference zone and that came into play BIG TIME in securing our Dream Home. I can honestly say there were times where we became somewhat desperate and would ask to view homes that were WAYYYY outside of our preferences, but not only did Jesse show us those homes-he did so with tact and a huge level of candor that you'd expect from like maybe a Family Lawyer, or Financial Advisor ? ? He didn't interject personal opinions...in fact, he would ALMOST ALWAYS offer an OPTION or an alternative way of achieving our goals without stomping on our opinion about properties that truly didn't work for us.....well done Jesse, really.
One Tuesday out of many Tuesdays, we asked Jesse about a property that was kinda off the beaten path of where we had been looking.....in typical J' DONE fashion, he worked diligently to get us a showing within 12 Hours of our request, for a beautiful property that had been only advertised for maybe 10 Days......within moments of driving up to the Property we were FLOORED ! ! ! Upon entering said property my Wife and I just KNEW ! ! ! IT is one of those properties where you just KNOW it was the one.......
We approached Jesse with what might seemed as an unreasonable request, but we had to have Jesse do ALL he could to secure this property for us on as expeditious manner as possible (as we have seen where fiddling about for even a small amount of time can end in not getting what you're after). Within minutes of us making a crazy request, Jesse was on the line with the Coldwell Banker Agent Melanie Cordes, who if I can take a moment to say was also MOST INSTRUMENTAL in helping us get this property, and they BOTH began this very delicate dance where time was of THE essence and somehow secured that deal without much to do at all!
They secured a deal where both parties were absolutely ecstatic and I cannot say enough about the VERY LITTLE wrangling and gathering of documents (especially by Melanie Cordes in a VERY LITTLE amount of time) to make this dream home of ours a REALITY. There was no B.S., no Hustle and Muscle, no Back and Forths, no Falling For the Banana in The Tailpipe....it was a (combined) total Agent effort that got this deal secured and we CANNOT be much happier.
I'll wrap up this novel up by saying that if you are looking for an Agent that absolutely knows the Area and that obviously works well with other agents OUTSIDE of his brokerage, coupled with the fact that's he's not in this for the Agents' Credentials but instead is ALL ABOUT pairing the right Buyer with the Right Home, then Jesse DONE Lasater is the one....he got it DONE when we surely thought this was another, "darn-what if" showing.
Im still floored and shaking.....just WOW ! !

Never have I been so disappointed in a realtor until Isaac tried to sell our 3rd home. Our other realtors made sure we were taken care of, Isaac did not. He made it so stressful during the sell and weeks after, I am still stress out about it. I loved our home but somehow Isaac made me feel ashamed of it. He was never supportive after bring in a seller who was disrespectful and hard to work with. He was unavailable when we needed him the most and never knew when our deadlines were. He did very little as a realtor with a payout he should not have excepted. I wish we would have never called him.

We moved down to Bayfield, CO last month. Prior to that we had driven to the area and wanted to look at houses and properties for sale to get a feeling of the area and prices. We contacted Jerid Cabot at Bayfield Realty on a Saturday. He agreed to meet with us and spent the entire day with us showing multiple homes to our family. We returned the next weekend and made another "surprise" call to Jerid on a Saturday and asked him if he would show us another list of homes. Jerid, again spent the entire Saturday with us showing us homes and telling us about the area.Jerid found us a great home in our price range. Jerid has always answered our phone calls and is diligent about informing us of any new developments. He is spot on knowing the territory he is selling homes in and is a true straight shooter. If you don't like fake, he is the guy for you.We could not be any happier with Bayfield Realty and would recommend Jerid Cabot to anybody who is interested in purchasing a home.
