I don't think that most people like banks but I absolutely love this bank. I grew up in a small town with a local, 1 branch bank and we knew everyone at that bank on a first-name basis. I didn't know that that kind of thing still existed until I switched to HPB. I am a small business owner and my bank would not help me when I applied for PPP. Not only that but my bank created a huge debacle with my PPP application that prevented me from applying with other banks; it was a nightmare. When I applied with HPB, the President, John Creighton and Vice President, Larry Strauss personally assisted me with my application. They were up until all hours of the night working on my loan trying to see how they could help. I was absolutely blown away, I could not believe that they showed me that level or care and concern; I banked with my prior bank for 15 years and they were completely indifferent to my cause. Not only did John and Larry help me but they helped 3 of my friends, all small business owners whose banks would not help with their PPP loans. Needless to say, I moved all of my personal and business accounts to HPB and they made the entire process seamless. HPB has a great app that is easy to use and I absolutely love that they message me if I electronically deposit a check and forget to endorse it because I'm in a hurry, or the time (or two) that I have also been in a hurry and accidentally used my HSA card when I meant to use my debit card. Cheryll or Alison will message and say something like - "Did you mean to use your HSA card to buy shoes?" Nope, I sure didn't but they help me fix it whereas my other bank wouldn't have ever noticed or cared - it would have been my problem. I love it and I love them; I refer them to everyone. Thank you for being amazing, HPB!

This bank is HORRIBLE! They block your account for ANY reason. WIth $10,000.00 in my account, tried to spend $1500.00 at guitar center and the bank blocked the purchase then shut down my card. Second time this has happened. This bank will refuse payment for any stupid reason. This is MY money and I can spend it where I want to. Pulling all funds from this bank this morning.

I have always walked into High Plains with a friendly face smiling at me from behind the counter and have always felt very welcome as I enter. My family needed a notary and the staff went out of their way to help us accomplish our deadline for our paperwork. Great staff, great customer service, extremely helpful and welcoming.
