“The TL;DR version is that I'm glad I found Paul and Flat 4 Freak. As other reviews have pointed out, Paul is the honest, fair, and knowledgeable mechanic we all hope to find.The long version is that I took my 2007 Outback XT to Paul knowing that the engine was down on power, the transmission was hard to shift, and the clutch was... weird. Paul was thorough: he investigated each problem and then showed me specifically what was wrong with each component (engine oil isn't supposed to sparkle, the clutch shouldn't rattle when you push it in, and gear oil should stay on the *inside* of the transmission). I really like this Outback, so I went all in on a mechanical restoration of the car: new engine, new clutch, rebuilding the transmission/front/center differential, and rebuilding the rear differential. Now the car runs like a dream and I look forward to putting many more miles on it.Throughout the whole process Paul has been happy to keep me informed of the progress and occasional delays (joys of COVID and the related supply-chain issues), and has always been available to answer my questions and walk me through options for parts that could be upgraded while things were apart.At the end of the day, Paul is a highly skilled mechanic and a great person to work with.Services: Vehicle safety inspection”

“We have always had our Chevy Cruze serviced at the dealership and after receiving a quote from them for repairs, we decided to get a second opinion with Christian Brothers. I explained to Cliff that the car had 210k miles on it and the quote we received was more than the value of the car and they agreed to take a look for us at no charge. Even though their quote came in 30% lower than the dealer, we decided not to do the repairs and will most likely donate the vehicle. I really appreciated the time they spent and the detailed estimate with photos of all the parts and pieces that needed attention. “Kirby's Hitch was recommended by Ft. Collins Nissan to install a wiring harness for a brake controller. The vehicle is a 2024 Pathfinder and the exact location of the brake controller adapter was not readily visible, nor could the Service Department at Nissan provided specific information to it's location.Glenn, the owner of Kirby's Hitch, was very diligent and thorough in his efforts to locate the proper connection for the brake controller, investing at least 2 hrs of his time to complete the task. Because this was a 2024, the dealership was not very helpful in directing the exact location of this connection and it was only through Glen's determination and efforts that the job was completed.Additionally, Charles, the office manager, was cordial and conversational which made this entire transaction very pleasant.
