They do not keep or have FRAGILE stamps or stickers to label packages.

This review is for Nadean who is always so friendly and reliable. She keeps this place going, despite budget restrictions and other obstacles. As a Berthoud local, we appreciate you so much Nadean!

I went in around 3pm to mail a box. It was pretty busy but the lady taking care of everyone was friendly and everyone in and out quickly. It’s nice to have a good post office so close by!

I'm constantly not getting mail that's shown on my informed delivery. Scrolling through the reviews it seems to be a trend at this office....

Worst post office experience ever. The workers are lazy and rude for absolutely no reason. Use literally any other alternative if you can.

What is the Sam Hill, Tarnation and all the nine hells is going on at this post office?!? Why do I always get other people mail and not the mail I am supposed to get? I subscribe to the informed delivery and about half of what is show is actually delivered! Was supposed to get something from the IRS on Monday last week and it has yet to show up! Hopefully it isn’t something important…although I have never seen anything from the IRS that isn’t important! This place needs a new postmaster desperately! The old one was great and when they retired, it all went to hell. If I could bypass the usps entirely I would all because of my experience with the ineptitude of this one branch!

Ok now I see why everyone complains about this post office lol. I mean, they're rude but I figure it's kind of like the dmv ya know, a requirement these days. So that's ok, but I just tried to send a package and now they want to charge for a piece of tape?! No ma'am. Somehow their rates and labels are different than every other post office also. Even the rural carriers have gone downhill. I had a package ruined from them leaving it by my mailbox in the rain and wind which my parcel box is 5 feet away. Literally. Before that they marked a package delivered but took days to actually deliver it so I couldn't return the defective item. The policy was 3 days for returns but since I didn't ACTUALLY have it I didn't know it was damaged. Thank you for lying saying you delivered it berthoud post office! I couldn't even get my insurance on it. Really wish someone would open a packaging and shipping center, none of us would use the post office here again lol!

As a local small business we ship dozens to hundreds of packages with this office every week. Nadine especially is always so kind and helpful. We have very few hiccups and they always help me problem solve a solution.

I have a hold on my son's mail (I have POA). I went in after a couple of weeks of not picking it up and they had lost all of his mail. They had lots of excuses but no mail. I checked daily and Informed Delivery showed he should have several pieces of mail. Nothing...but a rude attitude from Kurt. He said he would check with the carrier and call me the next day. No call. No mail. Ugh!

Carriers keep screwing up, they can't put the correct package to the correct address or give the wrong keys for the locker customer service is terrible they never say sorry they just say ya we will do package recovery tomorrow, they could care less it doesnt affect them.
Nothing is ever done either to correct the constant mistakes It always take an extra day just to receive mail too.

I had a package go to the wrong post office (Denver sent it to 80514, not 80513) and I went in to ask about the odd tracking situation.
When I got there I found out that they close for lunch for an hour randomly at 1pm. I submitted updated hours here with a photo of the door, so hopefully that takes. FYI to the Postal Service, you can have multiple sets of hours so you can show the PO box pickup hours and service counter hours separately (like a grocery pharmacy or Starbucks), but as a random citizen I cannot submit that change. Making the submission took all of 2 minutes. The Postmaster should do this as a *Service to the Community*.
When I actually was able to speak to someone he assumed my package originated from Amazon, which no. It originated from an independent buisiness that ships directly through USPS.
He then refused to actually look at the tracking history, which I had open on my phone and pointed at him, to see that it had been marked as "Out for Delivery" for over 24 hours and 2 mail deliveries.
He and the other employee there then proceeded to gaslight me about it being at the Denver sorting facility with no departure scans or arrival scans to prove anything.
Overall, I have learned that the Postal Service electronic tracking does not handle missent items gracefully at all. When scaned at the wrong post office, the system does not seem to do anything automatically. A person appears to mark "MISSENT" and the system will mark the return to distribution center order as "Out for Delivery" . After 18 hours of that "Out for Delivery" mark the system auto-generates the status "Awaiting Delivery", at 3am for me. In between it showed "In transit to Next Facility" with no indication of where that is and no timestamp. 13 hours later and 3 minutes after I have the phone system send me a Service Request form it gets scanned in Denver, which is notably 2 hours after I spoke to any human. I can only hope it goes in the correct box tonight. If it went to the correct post office in the first place it would have been here 3 days ago, as is I expect to have it in 2 days. Also the only reason I can show any of this is because I have screenshots, as the "Awaiting Delivery" status is no longer in the tracking history. The electronic system needs to better communicate that the package is delayed due to going to the incorrect post office, and should not send "Out for Delivery" text message at that time.
I understand the root cause here is not the fault of this post office, but the way they handled customer relations is worse than I have received on other continents with a language barrier. If you need to speak Spanish I would probably not come here.
With all the information I have been able to gather since leaving, the response I should have received was "Your package is *most likely* on the way back to the Denver sorting center. If you don't see a new update on your tracking by tomorrow morning you should file a claim through this button (points on smartphone screen) here and wait for that investigation. You will *probably* see an update of some form tonight from Denver." The response I received should not have made unverifiable assumtions about the true location of the item, nor should the clerk have falsely assumed the package did not originate with the USPS.

Terrible. I ship everything I can through UPS because I never know if I'm ever going to get my deliveries through this office.

We have lived in Berthoud for 9 years and have experienced the absolute worst postal service here than anywhere else we've lived in this country. Lost mail -- for example, we're currently waiting on mail that the "informed delivery" email showed we were to receive on Monday this week (these emails include literal pictures of the mail pieces to be delivered each day). It hasn't shown up and it's critical mail for us... Additionally, the clerks are incredibly rude on most visits, to the point of making racist comments in conversation with customers. Disgusting. I no longer use this post office...I drive to Loveland where the post office is lovely, kind and efficiently run. Terrible reality in our beautiful little town.
