The typical rustic charm of a rural roadside bar is amplified by the drunken owner pulling up a chair to your table and making uncomfortable and uncharming conversation. Several dogs roam the restaurant, begging for scraps of food from your entrees. The calzones are pretty good.

We had a group of 4. Michelle was our waitress. She was very nice and very attentive. I had the cheeseburger with green chili and hand cut fries. My husband had a loaded pizza. The food was prepared by Michelle and Roy. It was hot, fresh and delicious. We got to meet the infamous Roy and his wife Barbara. Both were very nice and Roy kept us laughing and smiling the entire time. He went out of his way to spend time with us and even invited us to see his immaculate kitchen. We had so much fun and will definitely visit again.

We loved everything about this place. The atmosphere, Roy, Michelle and Barbara, the food and Cheeka! My husband ordered the pizza, my BIL and I ordered the green chili burger with hand cut fries and my SIL had the pork tenderloin with rice. Everything was delicious. Roy cooks a lot of the food and about 90% of all the food is homemade. The kitchen is spotless. Roy is a hoot for sure. We had so much fun bantering back and forth with him. He loves his customers and wants to make sure they have a good experience. If you don't like F-bombs, stay away. We will definitely go back to visit! It was a fun day!!

Over the holidays, our AirBnB host highly recommended this to us, and we are so glad they did. We stopped in for lunch and not only are they family friendly, but also very welcoming of dogs! The food was delicious, service top notch, the decor was super cool, and bonus: we had the pleasure of meeting Roy!!! Such a lively and welcoming host. Thank you for being so welcoming and accommodating. We especially appreciated the high quality caviar ;)

Excellent restaurant with impressive facilities.Very well managed bar and wait staff who really care and have worked there a long time. However, unless you are a Biker Bar regular, the atmosphere can be uncomfortable for a variety of reasons which will be obvious as soon as you walk in.My advice is to leave kids at home and order take out.Again, excellent food. There is plenty of parking for big rigs and large parties.

I'm not sure where to start. This is a place we've driven passed what's feels like hundred times and each time we say, we should stop and see if the fries are any good. I mean there's a huge box of fries outside. Well today I wasn't prepared for what we experienced. The place was filled with shot glasses. Cool looking place what's seems to be in the middle of nowhere. This dude greets us introducing himself as "Roy" the owner. He welcomes us and literally gives us the behind the scenes tour of the kitchen and the freezer. What can I say, when you get an unscheduled tour on a Sunday morning and the kitchen and surrounding areas are clean and organized that's a good place. This guy and his wife Barbra run it. He's super cool and self admitted a bit crude but fun nonetheless. He told us we could order anything even if it wasn't on the menu. Sunday everything on the special menu is $10. Next week he's doing a fried chicken buffet for FREE. He says once he didn't have anything and just like doing it for people. He's 72 full of life and maybe a little full of crap but totally fun and friendly. Good food, good service and a fun place on the "peak to peak highway" just outside Blackhawk. This place will be an experience.

Roy was a hoot! If we're in the area again, we'll definitely be stopping by. I could see being a regular if we lived nearby. Thanks guys for the great food and conversations!!
