The right rating should be -5 ⭐️. If this location is not the number one in the worst postal service in Colorado, it would probably be the second worst in service. Employees are terrible, they are rude, they don’t have any kind of work ethic, they are lazy and they just don’t do their work. Mail carrier mis deliverers mail and packages constantly and nothing is ever done to fix or stop the problem, on top of that, there’re a lot of new people that have moved to Gilpin county in the last five years and it seems like they love keeping packages and mail that DON’T belong to them!! Very frustrating. This location should be shut down for good or have the whole staff fired and replaced with people that want to work.

USPS consolidation of locations means that I can no longer pick up my mail in my the Pinecliffe location. I now have longer travel time and experience worse service at this Black Hawk location I'm forced to use.

I live in Blackhawk and was expecting a package of two books. Got a notification saying that they were delivered next to my garage. However I don't have a garage I looked all around the house all around our property couldn't find it. Two weeks later the housekeepers found it buried in snow at the very front of the driveway as if they threw it out the car and they were still driving. The icing on the cake was a lady at the USPS office that told me that she didn't send me the email that they did send me and that they delivered it and it's now my problem. Wonderful customer service. I would like USPS to fix this and refund the money I have spent on damaged products because of their incompetence and neglect.

Doreen is one of the best employees of any establishment that have ever done business with. She takes pride in her work and is excellent at what she does. This woman needs a wage increase!!!

This is the worst post office. Daily mail service is fine, but I have continuous issues with package delivery. I have usps informed delivery which allows me to see when my packages are due to arrive. I can’t tell you the number of times my package is “out for delivery” and then returns back to the post office never having been delivered. This will happen 2-3 times before my package arrives… ALWAYS late. I also have issues where my items are delivered to the wrong mailbox, or they are marked as delivered when they obviously haven’t been. Sometimes if I am lucky they will magically show up a few days later. This all is a massive problem when waiting on time sensitive materials or perishable items. Extremely disappointed.

Terrible delivery service. I've seen the exact same remarks from others in the community... will mark "attempted delivery" but with a variety of excuses why delivery couldn't be made. Obstructed drive... even when it's sunny and clear, no turn around... even though we have a large area for vehicles to turn around, package too heavy...wait, what?!?!There must be at least one driver who does his/her job as is not all packages but he/she must not deliver consistently as I find I am making more and more trips to the office to pick up packages that could/should have been delivered. Heck, most of the time, the driver can't even be bothered to shut the door of the mailbox, leaving our mail open to the elements. Very frustrating and inconvenient.

The worst post office possibly in the U.S. Amazon notified me my package arrived. Nothing was in my mailbox. I talked to the deliver man and he tells me that the lady at the office must have scanned the wrong package. My brothers package has been sitting in the post office for over 72 hours and still counting just to be scanned. The lady in there seems like she doesn't know what shes doing. Not only that, but they never answer the phone! In fact when I was inside the office once, I hear the phone ring and ring while the lady just sits on her computer. The worst I have ever seen is at this post office.

This post office is by far the worst I’ve ever dealt with. We’ve had issues with our mail before we even moved into our house in Black Hawk! Unfortunately, it’s the only post office up here. Apparently the mail carrier can’t read the difference between Drive and Circle when it comes to addresses.

Worst postal service I’ve ever experienced. One person that delivers and drives a BMW is great, but the rest of them are absolutely awful. Can’t leave a package when it doesn’t need to be signed for and force you to go and pick up your package for no reason besides they don’t want to walk to your front door.
