What an awful experience we had. Rented a subcompact to get to a trail head up at Nederland. We could not make it up Boulder, Canyon Road - no acceleration. We turned around, brought the car back and had to call Avis National from within the store to even get a partial refund. The store manager told us that it was our fault for getting a subcompact that somehow that vehicle was not capable of getting us up canyon. We highly recommend you choose an alternative location!

They gave me a very dirty car. I had to go above and beyond to prove it was their fault. Customer service is terrible. The so called “supervisor” heard out my problems and then proceeded to hang up on me with no call back whatsoever. After 20 phone calls back and forth over 2 weeks, I got a small amount of money back. Not worth it at all. Take your business elsewhere.

The folks at this location are clueless. Written policy on the avis website regarding the use of a company discount code being available for spouses, and this guy keeps quoting a "policy" that it's only available to people who work at the company. The AVIS WEBSITE shows its available for spouses. Several times I ask the guy if he can show me his written policy showing otherwise, and just keeps repeating "I'm just doing my job". Complete idiots here.

Update: Avis customer service was very responsive and promptly took care of the issue!I returned my rental car with a full tank of gas, but was still charged a fuel service fee by Avis. Never had this issue happen before with other rental car agencies. Otherwise, everything was good with the car and rental attendant was friendly.

I dropped of the car at 2:20 am at the airport with no attendant checking it in. Later in the day, I got a gas bill for 32 dollars for the 85 miles I had driven even though I had filled gas about 20 miles away from the airport not wanting to be hassled finding and filling gas at the airport. I called and discussed it with an agent who said he was waiving the gas fee. A week later, the gas fee was reinstated. I do not find this to be fair business practice. Not sure I will do business with Avis again.

The vehicle I received had mechanical issues, and the customer service was awful. The car had a oscillating and vibrating noise at high speeds, and when I tried to contact the rental desk to sort out the issue, I was diverted to the national call line. Emergency roadside services simply said that if I wanted a replacement I would have to go back to the nearest rental counter, which was too far away by the time I discovered the issue. I ended up calling my personal mechanic to see if it was a concern, and they said it was likely a wheel alignment issue. Not an immediate safety concern, but could become one if the oscillating became worse. I arrived at my destination in Buena Vista and contacted emergency roadside services again to see if the car would be able to be towed not at my expense, so I would not need to risk driving it back to the rental desk. At first they said it would cost $240 to tow because I had not purchased the protection plan, and then said that if it was a mechanical issue I would not be charged. When I asked if my particular issue would count as a mechanical issue, the roadside service person redirected me to customer service. The customer service person could not answer, nor the customer service person's supervisor, who then redirected me back to emergency roadside services. I was also informed that there was no drop-box to drop off the car after-hours. With no other options, I drove the faulty vehicle back to Boulder (during blizzard white-out conditions, by the way, and the windshield wipers also happened to be shredded), and dropped off the car this morning. Only to discover that there was in fact a drop-box to drop off the car after hours. This was an incredibly frustrating experience and I will not likely be using this service again, much less recommend the service to a friend.

This was my first time using this service. I were slightly apprehensive at first but it exceeded my expectations. The process from start to finish was simple to understand and seamless to execute. They rent almost brand new car .❤️❤️❤️❤️

Every time I've been here, they always do everything possible to get me going ASAP. Bashar is excellent at managing very challenging situations that are WAY out of his control. He's doing everything he can for you, and it's important to understand this and be patient. Thanks guys... I'll be back.

Incompetent employees, and lying/scamming management sums this location up.Rental pick up took over 45 minutes. I was the only customer, and the only employee there stated it was his first time going through the check out process. So he had to go through it with the owner over the phone. Who leaves their untrained employee to man the location alone? In retrospect, this was minor. Read on...Upon return of the vehicle, I was charged $326 above the quoted price, supposedly because they had assigned me the incorrect vehicle in their system due to a typo. I was assured the manager would call me the next day to resolve the issue and proceed with a refund. I never received a call, so I called corporate customer service. At that point I was told that the extra charge was not, in fact, due to a different vehicle type, but actually a REFUELING FEE. To make matters worse, the agent confirmed their system listed my rental as having been returned with a full tank, so there was zero justification for this. Thankfully, customer service was then able to proceed with a refund. Avoid this location at all costs, and if you must rent from here, document absolutely everything.

I had a great experience with bashar today at the store I've been here many times these are two hard-working guys doing the best that they can it is a shame that the corporate side doesn't give them the infrastructure or support they need to give the best possible service

The worst ever location for Avis/budget. We took a car rental and their system wasn't functioning so we got delayed by 2 hrs as they didn't have paperwork option as an alternative. They didn't check the fuel and car before giving us, when we returned, he charged us for low fuel. Thankfully I captured a photo of the odometer before taking it away so it saved me from extra charges which he wasn't ready to believe.They charged us for underage driver fees without letting us know before the rental. We booked through my corporate coupon which waives off my underage fees which again he wasn't ready to believe. Also they charged for additional driver for the reason. We had to fight for this for an hour for this gentleman to make him understand how corporate coupon works and how we have been using it since years by showing him past receipts. He was just trying to rob us thinking we don't know anything about car rentals.I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this location. They're totally unbearable.

ZERO STARS. I went in to help a fried with a payment on 11/30/22. They charged him $1,450.00 for the rental and were supposed to charge my card $250.00. Instead I was charged $1,700.00. The person at the counter was rude in dealing with the issue and in the end did not in fact fix anything. I was given a 800 number for customer service to deal with it. We were charged for a total of $3,150.00 and are still waiting for that money to be returned and today is 12/15/22. This should be an unacceptable business practice.
