I ordered two books online and did store pick up.
I got my confirmation and my notification stating that my order was ready to be picked up. I followed the instructions in the email and waited in the line for about 15 minutes.
When I got up to a store worker at the register, I was told that store pick ups, even though the email directs you to do something different, are actually at the center of the store in customer service.
OK then, so I head over that way and I have my order confirmation up with my ID, and this order confirmation has a barcode on it.
The woman working customer service refused to look at the barcode, or take my order number, she only took my phone number and my last name - without ever actually looking at my ID.
After spending less than five seconds looking, she tells me that there is no order in their system with my name or my phone number. I must be at the wrong store and she sends me away.
I then ask her to please look at the confirmation it states that I was in the correct store and that my order is ready.
She then gets a horrible attitude, tells me she doesn’t know what I want her to do and then pulls in another worker who has just as horrible of an attitude.
This new woman also refuses to look at my order information, and also just asks for my last name.
I spelled it again for her, and she tells me oh we must’ve thought you spelled your name differently. They magically found my order.
I feel this is why the email instructions state to show your ID, when a customer does that the store worker should at least look at the ID
Imagine, they sent me away originally.
I then pointed out that both of the books were severely damaged, and should not have been sold as new books.
Both women proceeded to stare at me.
The only reason why they got two stars is because they actually had my order even though they told me originally they didn’t.

Lovely bookstore. Though I find it funny that the best selling genres are in the back. Maybe that's done on purpose so you'll walk through books you'd never otherwise look at.
