Wonderful community resource. Easy to return books and check-out more. Kid computer area has been a favorite, but busy. The outdoor playground is fun for many ages, offering unique play structures for Boulder, like a rope bridge. We often run into friends on weekends.

I only have 4 stars because the use of the computers is only limited to 90 minutes. But overall one of the best library.

Great public library with a great kids section, art gallery, playground, by the creek. Staff were excellent and doing their best. Thank you

Interesting library with lots of interesting characters. The library is pretty modern but grimey. The book selection is excellent. The carpets and a lot of surface areas are dirty. It is not the quietest place to work or study as you may occasionally have a person lose it and act a little squirrelly. The worst part is that all of the parking around the library, a public space funded by taxpayer money, only offers free parking for 1.5 hours. That is absolutely asinine. The city of Boulder and the trust fund babies running it need to stop robbing and stressing out its regular citizens. It’s a public library and not a concert hall.

In the 7 years since I last visited this library has only gotten worse. There are fewer computers, and the books are in worse shape. The Internet also didn't work for me when I was there. I could connect but not sign in. It definitely wasn't just a dead zone either as I checked multiple different spots and devices.

Why don’t we all get together & blame homeless people for doing what homeless people do.How did they get this way? What has happened if their lives? And what, if anything, am I doing to help?Or am I just complaining, then getting in my Tesla & going through the Starbucks drive through for a $9 latte that was made using prison labor?

The main branch of the Boulder Public Library is really special, and worth visiting even if you are merely visiting Boulder. It is truly a community center - meeting rooms for events, plenty of public resources, and one of the coolest makerspaces around (BLDG 61).The cafe over the creek is a charming place to read a chapter or two with a cup of tea. Library staff are balanced, reasonable and helpful to patrons.Recent challenges have been admirably overcome.Do not skip the gallery! Very cool artwork.

We didn't go inside the library but the outside is beautiful, with a little river right outside. Lots of space to hangout with the pup, have a picnic and enjoy the outdoors. 10/10 would come back here just for the atmosphere and scenery, excited to check out the actual library next time.

An employee here called the police on us because he thought we had alcohol, even after we told him we didn't. I sincerely hope they fire him for his blatant racism and harassment

I love this library! I've been going here since I was very young, and I have dozens of good memories of the Children's Section and how it helped instill me with a love of books and literature. I go here a few times every month, and each time I find fantastic books and new authors that I enjoy thoroughly. The architecture is gorgeous, and I appreciate the numerous places to sit down. Thank you, Boulder Public Library!

Every September the library comes alive and is host to numerous authors and speakers who gather from across the world for JLF at Boulder! This 3 day writers festival celebrates the word and explores topics that include particle physics and math to history and fiction. Authors travel from across the world to come together to this beautifully appointed library built across the boulder creek with ample parking space, wide open lawns and recreation area for kids.

Great library, huge and high tech but half the power outlets at the desk don't work, difficult to set up laptop and work. Wifi is good not great, but it is very cool looking, close to the creek, and has an expensive Cafe inside... so it is very stereotypical of Boulder! Staff was very nice, 5 stars for them!

This library was a cool stop on our walk through Bulder. It had a lot of stuff to do, and really cool architecture. It had a Barnes & Noble feel to it but it was much bigger than a Barnes & Noble. However, it really has become a hotspot for homeless people. Also there are absolutely no bathrooms in Boulder, so we were hoping that the library wouldn't have closed their bathroom, but they did.

This is a fantastic facility but I only gave it three stars because the people who work there are very strange. They all seem edgy and temperamental. They act like you are imposing on them if you ask a question and they're doing you a favor if they answer it. They have terrible attitude of arrogance and superiority. I don't understand why. They are part of one of the best public libraries in the country. They should show more respect for their patrons. If you use this facility try not to interact with any of the staff members to avoid disappointment.
