Add Silk Road Grill to the list of unpretentious, family-owned restaurants where you can get an excellent meal. If you like Middle Eastern cuisine, you will love what they serve. Everything is cooked to order, so it is fresh and tasty, and the portions are large enough to satisfy the most demanding appetites. I particularly enjoyed the lamb shank dinner. The shank was huge, and the meat was so tender that it literally fell off the bone. In addition, the sauce was especially delicious. I highly recommend this venue for discerning diners.

I was blown away by the quality of the food here! We got the Sultan's plate with chickpea's and hummus as sides because we wanted to sample a little bit of everything there being so many delicious choices. I thought we'd be taking a bunch home but it was too good and we made gluttons of ourselves. I'd be hard pressed to tell you what was best. Even the rice was divine. Will be back and my only regret was that we didn't go sooner. Don't skip the baklava for dessert!Parking: Around back

The general atmosphere and welcoming environment of this establishment makes you feel like you’re right at home. The food is so carefully and elegantly prepared and served. From the kabuli palaw, to the kebabs and the rice pudding, there are so many delicious options to choose from. Will definitely be coming back every chance I get.

Found this gem while searching for Mediterranean in Boulder. When we walked in, we found four lovely ladies making food to order. I had the Gyro with a side of hummus and pita. It was AMAZING! The services was so kind and attentive and the food was fresh and flavorful.

My son found this place and what a find, everything was delicious! And everyone was so friendly. Yasmin (not sure if spelling) was great! And they had a weekend special called Bulani, I mixed it with the potato and chives, recommend!

The food and service here are both fantastic! I'd normally try to be more thorough with my reviews, but I'm too tired and my mind is blank. Oh well, definitely coming again and you should come try it if you haven't! Come on a weekend for the bolani

Delicious family owned and operated Afghan restaurant. Suggested options were beautifully presented and good size portions. Food tasted amazing. We were planning what we would try the next time we come while enjoying our meal! Family friends service and Afghan grocery items to shop from all in the same location. We will be back, soon!

The service was great. Everyone was kind and the food was really good! I got the gyro plate and really enjoyed the rice and the gyro meat. Chilll little spot with plenty of parking around which is convenient. The gyro meat was the best I’ve had in Boulder! Look forward to trying some other menu items in the future! Thank you Silk Road Grill and market!

Had the Kabuli Palaw with chick peas as side dish. The lamb pieces were extremely tender and lightly seasoned if at all. The flavor was provided by the sweet raisins and carrots and seasoned rice. Very delicate and enjoyable. The chick peas brought a nicely seasoned sauce that mixed well with the rice. Almost like 2 meals in one. Anyway, just try it!

Amazing place! Food is incredible and delicious. So fresh and homemade. We got the platter to try a little bit of everything and it was all so good. I especially enjoyed the chickpeas and my husband absolutely loved the spicy chutney they make in house. The owner was super friendly and kind. We will definitely be back for more. Delicious Afghani food is hard to beat!Parking: In the back, plenty of spots. Maybe a dozen or so.Dietary restrictions: Halal

We had amazing Afghani food at this mom and pop run shop and grill just off of Pearl Street and 28th in Boulder. Both my little picky eaters were happily dancing at the table.Pictured here is the sultan plate for ~ $32 . It included two chapli kebabs, a lamb kebab, a kubideh kabob, chicken kabob Rice, pita, salad, two sides (hummus and baba ganoush), green chutney, yogurt sauce. Phew!!!! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and completely satisfying. We also had the chicken on rice ~$12. Which had juicy morsels of chicken in a tomato and yogurt base sauce over rice. Perfect for kids.We ended the meal happy with a side of baklava!!!!
