If you are wanting something specific or a design don’t expect them to tell you ahead that they can’t do it. We showed them pictures of exactly what my daughter wanted, they said yes then didn’t do it all. At the end when asked again they just kept saying, “No”. Would have been ok if they told
Us they couldn’t do it. I have one very disappointed girl.

I asked for a design and we got through the entire manicure to the point where we should’ve done the design and I showed her the picture again and I was flat out denied. I think working at a nail salon where it’s 95% American English speaking clients the staff should be able to speak English fluently. She just said “no.” Over and over again when I showed her the picture. If I could give 0 stars I would. I’m never returning to contempo nails. I feel very disappointed. They did a horrible job! I strongly suggest not going here!

Used to be great when Amy and John were here. Today: Awful. Total pedicure time was about 20 min. Including "massage" and color. Cursory at best on cuticles and bottoms of feet. I will not come back here again.

I have been going to Contempo Nails in Gunbarrel for about a year. I can not say enough good things about this place. All the technicians are professional and nice. They care about what they do and it shows. Every experience there is positive. The environment is clean and friendly. I highly recommend them. Liz M

Truly never thought I’d be writing such a terrible review. I made an appointment yesterday for today at 3:15pm. I walk in at 3:14pm and 3 techs look at me and say NOTHING. I check in and sit down, waiting for someone to greet me or ask what I needed. No one says anything to me. A woman comes in 10mins after me and she’s about to get seated so I stand up and tell the tech that I was here first. They seat me and the woman next to each other. Another tech comes to the woman and starts on her. My tech puts a bowl of water down in front of me and disappears for a few minutes. At this point, I’ve been in the salon for 20mins. I ended up leaving because I felt SO uncomfortable I was nearly in tears. What’s the point in making an appointment if there’s not going to be someone available for me? I can’t help but feel like this is because I’m a black woman. Sad and disheartening that one of my favorite nail salons would treat me like this after years of coming here, I’ll never return.

This place I really wanted to give a fair chance but i will not be returning. They struggled to do my french pedi and mani, not to mention my thumbnail is crooked as hell.
