Staff are up their own bums. They thought I was shoplifting (I was not)….I tried asking them a question, and they couldn’t be bothered to pause their conversation to acknowledge me standing there awkwardly for a hot minute. I didn’t feel welcomed at all, which sucks because I have always loved their products, and have been a customer for over 15 years. Heck, I even worked at one during the holidays back in 2014.

Terrible customer service, really slow service. Always a pain to go in here, half of the staff seem untrained and incapable of doing anything. They also engage with customers on a non-professional level. One staff member complained to me, the customer, that she was really tired. As a business owner myself, I would not be thrilled to learn that my employee was saying such things to a customer.

We felt SO taken care of! My husband and I went to World Market looking for an 8 x 10 area rug. There was nothing even close in the hanging rugs, so I approached a woman who turned out to be a manager, Emily. She said there might be one in the storage room and off we went. Inside, there were three possible rugs. I felt like Goldilocks! One was a hemp rug, too bland looking. Another was too thin. The third definitely had possibilities but it was rolled up and stacked behind another rolled-up rug. Emily moved the in-the-way rug, pulled out the might-be-just-right rug and offered to take it into the store and roll it out for us so we could really see it. That in itself was a big favor. We liked it, but ooops: The rug was 9/12 x 7 1/2. I wasn't sure if it would be big enough and asked about returns. She said they don't usually take rugs back, but if we would agree to a "no return" policy she would take $100 off the rug! Really??!! So we agreed to buy it. When we were checking out she asked if we had a rewards card. Uh no. I have lived in this area for over 13 years and that was my first time in World Market. (It definitely won't be my last.) She then took the time to walk me through setting up a rewards account on my phone which, at my age, 78, was no small accomplishment. Through it all she was always very patient and helpful. Finally done for another 15% off! It was an amazing, incredible experience and we love the rug. It's also big enough! Thank you Emily!!

I enjoy visiting here, but it's not really rhe best option for import goods in the area. Small selection and high prices.

Great store. Wonderful, eclectic selection of products. Seriously awesome. But the website is AWFUL. As a big online-pickup-in-store person, I'm constantly frustrated shopping this god forsaken site.

Amazing products. Was gifted something I already had. They allowed me to bring it back for in store credit. The item I wanted was out of stock except the display. I attempted to order online and it said I could not use my gift card. Frustrating experience.

A note of praise for Store Manager Emily and Team Member Bri. Both helpful employees who were responsive and adaptive to our family situation this evening. We’ve only ever had positive experiences with World Market, a place where we can be sure to find British bits and pieces and great furniture. We’re looking forward to our new couch when it arrives in stock. Thank you Emily and Bri for being beacons of professionalism, decency and kindness.

Molly who is a manager was checking me out when another cashier asked her to help her redeem a customers coupon. She then told another cashier quote “ take care of that” and walked away. Didn’t say excuse me I need to help them and this cashier will finish checking you out… I mean nothing. It was rude and I was already experiencing a attitude, and condescending tone from her at the beginning of my check out process cause I asked if the number I entered pulled up my reward account. I would normally let this go cause I’m a positive person but I experience this before from her one week prior. I guess I won’t be shopping at this store anymore.

Went in there for Chanuka candles and decorum and a store employee shortly said they "don't ever carry them," yet half of the store was Christmas supplies. Not one Chanukah card amongst hundreds of Christmas cards? World Market carried items from all over the world, except for Jews? Seems a bit anti-Semitic..
