First of all, I'd like to say that Russ (the owner) is great. The community is great. The equipment is high quality, niche, and very well-maintained.That having been said, ever since Russ outsourced the billing to a 3rd party service, it has been a complete nightmare to deal with, insofar as I went to cancel my membership due to the issues. Russ used to have a very personal touch with members and operations, but I'm sad to report this is no longer the case.Case in point, I went to cancel my membership close to three months ago and they have made me jump through hoops to get it done. I'm used to this type of treatment from commercial gyms (as making it nigh on impossible to cancel membership is part and parcel of their business model), but expected better from a boutique gym like Gym No 5. I get that Russ is a busy guy and doing billing by hand for each member is no longer reasonable to expect given the stage of the business, but he needs to find a better vendor.Left with no further recourse, I had to begrudgingly initiate a fraudulent charge dispute with my bank in order to get any resolution. It's a damn shame that our relationship together is ending on this sour note after having been a happy member for many years, having spent many, many thousands of dollars for the privilege. Hope you see this Russ and make the necessary changes.

Most functional iterations of every piece of equipment most athletes could ever possibly want. The vibe is great - relaxed and communal, but serious athletes in there. Coach Russ is an absolutely pro, next-level coach. Truly knowledgeable and worth every dollar.

This gym has truly disappointed me in the way they have handled a cancellation of membership. My 15-year-old daughter was trying out gyms since CAC closed. Gym#5 told her that she could cancel her membership with 30 day notice. They won’t honor that promise and pass it on to an agency that handles their payments. I am a small business owner and I don’t understand this. Their responses sound pre-written in legalease, making me surmise it’s something that frequently comes up. We are pursuing our legal options, but more importantly, they should just be good people. Is this really how you treat people? After reading your response I can only say that it's such beautiful language for such an ugly way of dealing with your customer. I can assume that you're probably very financially stressed, but that shouldn't warrant your threats or tactics. And btw, I do hire professionals, but not the type you do. My daughter feels so guilty about believing Gabby when told she could cancel the contact with a month notice. My daughter went to gym for 3 days and we’re expected to pay nearly $800 to get out of the contract. What kind of business does this to a child?

Absolutely fantastic gym that is meticulously kept. Did 2 drop in passes which were seamless to set up. Gym size is great and the equipment is top notch. Barbells, power racks, cable machines, DBs were all some of the best i have used.

Dream gym. Has the nicest, most functional iterations of every piece of equipment most athletes could ever possibly want. The vibe is great - relaxed and communal, but serious athletes in there. Coach Russ is an absolutely pro, next-level coach. Truly knowledgeable and worth every dollar.

Fantastic gym with all the powerlifting equipment one could want. Trainers have tons of expertise and there's a wonderful community within the gym.

If you are a powerlifter or strength athlete in the Boulder/Longmont area, this is the place to be. It has everything a lifter needs. Competing in USAPL or Powerlifting America and need a competition stiff bar? They got it. Competing in a federation that allows specialty bars? Got them too. Or perhaps you are looking into the sport of strongman? They got nearly all the equipment for it, axles, logs, stones, yoke, you name it, they probably have it. The owners are always looking to make the gym better and bringing in new equipment regularly. The atmosphere is second to none, where you will feel like you’re at home. The people here are also great, very willing to help when you would need it, with the amount of knowledge combined through everyone, just about every question you have has an answer. Now with the owners bringing in new equipment, the machine areas are a little bit dense and cramped, there is more than plenty of space throughout the gym as a whole and it is probably the only real gripe I would have with a place like this. If you need a gym experience that has the desire to become better, faster, stronger, there is no better place to level the f__k up.

I have been training with Russell at Gym No. 5 for six months and have seen massive gains in my strength and performance. By following Russell's training program and macro splits, I put on 17 lbs of muscle in six months. He is the real deal.

Seems like they are hiding the membership costs a bit. I see $79/month for the basic and no other info... Id like to know the cost before doing the free trial, seems cool otherwise...

Man, what an awesome place. Where I trained prior was about a fifth of the size and a fifth of the equipment. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
