Brown and the team at Hoshi Motors are fantastic. I used to service my vehicle at major Toyota dealerships, but I’ve recently noticed a lot of price gouging and subpar workmanship. When I brought my truck to Hoshi Motors, the service was exceptional — they fixed several issues that other dealers couldn’t even diagnose, and at half the cost. From now on, this is the only place I’ll be bringing my vehicle.

Great service on my 2015 CRV. Brought it in for an oil change for my first visit at this shop. They did a once over, including reviewing prior services via Carfax. Prices are fair, service is very fast

Not going to leave a bad star rating because this company is great and reliable 99% of the time but today’s review is negative.
My drain plug was screwed on way too tight and now my oil pan is totally stripped.
I only ever had Hoshi do change my oil. Until one day I went to Valvoline and they were the ones that told me “hey your drain plug was extremely tight - whoever changed your oil last stripped your pan and now you need a completely new one”. They told me to call whoever changed my oil last and said that the shop should be responsible for the cost of a new oil pan.
Called Hoshi to ask and was told (kinda rudely) “yeah so we don’t manually tighten drain plugs. So it’s not physically possible for us to do that”
I didn’t really know what to say cuz… y’all were the last shop to tighten my drain plug and it’s so tight that my pan was stripped. How was it not you? It just doesn’t make sense that my drain plug magically tightened itself following them changing my oil.
But I let it go because I don’t know much about cars and because I assumed an oil pan would be maybe $100-$200. So I said whatever I’ll eat the cost.
Well, I’m leaving this review because I’m now paying over $1000 for a new oil pan. My entire savings gone to remedy the mistake Hoshi refused to take accountability for making. Maybe they refused to take accountability because they knew I was going to make them pay for it if they admitted it was them.

I want to bring my Mazda to this Japanese specialist due to the great reviews and official Amsoil service center but the lady on the phone said they don’t work on Mazdas. 😔
Will gladly change this review to a five star review if I can give them my money in return for great service.

Very straight forward and honest wit their prices. My parents were going to get their cars worked on and tuned up before I was born, >26 years, and we’ve always had a good experience. Even after changing ownership we still trust them and are our (mostly only) car shop we go to.
The new location is beautiful and much more space for waiting and they had 2 dogs! Very sweet and gentle things.

Hoshi has, hands down, the best customer service of any auto repair place I've done business with over the past 30+ years. I took a couple of different Honda Civics to them for years. I wouldn't take a Honda anywhere else.

Grateful places like this still exist. They had to deliver bad news unfortunately, but were generous, honest, fair and knowledgeable. Hollis and Louie's Dad were great to work with. I'll be back.

Having already been here with my daughter and her Honda, I knew the impressive and amazing work they did. My Honda needed help, I didn't think twice of where I should take it! Again professional and super courteous service all around. Will definitely be back!

I wish I could give Hoshi's more than 5 stars! They are some of the most honest and straightforward people I know. I always felt well taken care of, and fully aware of what was happening to my car. A special shout-out to Mike for the rides back and forth to home, his way of explaining things, and being such a caring individual.

This place should have an All Time Rating of 5! Brett works on our vehicles and he is the most polite and informed mechanic as there is. He professional and detailed. If you need work on your vehicle take it to Hoshi, where they do things right.

Great shop, always very competent, honest, and friendly. I have been taking cars here for probably 20+ years and never had a bad experience. They also have a nice waiting area next to a good little coffee shop, so that's a handy bonus! Thanks for keeping my cars rolling all these years!
