Overflowing with charm and character. Walk to great restaurants and shops. Really cool speakeasy on site with live music and comedy. Really nice staff. Hotels from the early 1900s don’t stay in business unless they are special. This is a special hotel.

Really embody your inner traveling early 20th century investment banker, get to know some incredibly hospitable people and check out a... slightly misbranded basement nightclub moonlighting as a speakeasy. Only be jarred out of the experience by the use of non-food safe antibacterial wipes your expected to clean ice scoops with, howling machine closets sitting right next to top-floor rooms, and the presence of curious apparatuses built out of bailing wire and medical tubing to catch what I hope... is not ectoplasm.Quick edit: mistaken marked as a two star. All together, a great hotel - just bring a jumpsuit and a proton pack.

We had our team event at Hotel Boulderado. The room rate seems reasonable, however all sorts of extra charges add up to be a lot. $270 per day to rent a low end projector, $50 per day for a whiteboard, every half hour after 5pm they charge you $75. They told us this is to cover the extra hours the manager has to stay. On the day when we need to stay till 6pm, the manager asked us if he could leave and refresh the room next day. We said it's fine, however we were still charged for the extra $150. The screen to project to is not flat. My team had hard time to follow the rows of spreadsheets presented. We were surprised to see no projector was in the meeting room when we arrived. We asked the manager what’s going on. He did bring one shortly but we were asked to pay a ASAP fee. For anything you didn't ask 72 hours in advance you will be charged the ASAP fee. Not sure where is the disconnection, we did request a project. $69 per gallon for coffee or tea. No outside food/drink is allowed. Anything you order will be charged a banquet fee about 30%. I wouldn’t host any team event there in the future.

Lobby is inviting with comfortable sofas and chairs. Check in staff was friendly. There is the original side of the hotel and a newer section with upgraded amenities.

Needs a remodelRooms: Too much furniture everywhere, antique furniture needs some love, looks like their collecting & not restoring, can hear thru the walls, HVAC is loud, windows dirty, wall paper overload & peeling off the walls, not luxury but tired old Victorian, needs a professional remodelFood & drinks: Great bars & restaurants, best part of the place, besides the location

It was a treat to stay at the Boulderado. Perfect downtown Boulder location, just off the Pearl St. mall, walking distance to all sorts of fun. Hotel lobby is a historic gem, beautiful stained glass ceiling and classic wood work. Really cool antique mechanical football game by front desk (free nickels to plan upon request). Staff was kind and laidback. Room on the new side was clean and comfortable.Walkability: Close to shopping, food, bars, entertainment.

This is an older hotel that retains it's charm without being too dated. You really get the feel of the history of Boulder with the architecture, decorations, and layout. The restaurant, bar, and downstairs bar are all attached, so you don't need to trek in the snow to find food and drinks.

Parking was tricky but their holiday tea was lovely. I asked for anything that could be made vegan and they brought me some hummus with cucumbers and an entire fruit tier for me!
