I contacted them several times expressing my interest in having them do my taxes. First was told they were too booked for this year. That’s fine. Then I said please contact me after busy season. They said they’d contact me again around May 1st. Never heard from them so called them May 13. Had a whole intake questionnaire. I’m pretty basic in terms of my tax needs - a W2 who owns a home and no convoluted business companies. Their response was an email that said “We are currently looking for clients that we are able to work with year-to-year and form an on-going relationship with, and we do not believe that our firm is the best fit for you.” I’m like…. Where did they get that I am not looking for a a year-to-year ongoing relationship? Literally why I called them.

I’ve relied on Infinite Tax Solutions for many years, businesses & personal. Regardless ofcomplex or kinda/sorta boilerplate tax issues/filings, ITS has always proven themselves a valuable asset. Prior to learning about Alicia and her team, I tried several other tax firms. Each was okay, but I never felt they were as vested inmy tax issues/situations as I had hoped for.Enter Infinite Tax Solutions. They took ThePepsi Challenge. And won my business.

I've been working with Infinite Tax for years now, with my books and other clients' books. I've brought some really challenging IRS client issues to Infinite Tax and they handle the obstacles with aplomb and ease. It's a no-nonsense and no-BS firm of high integrity that delivers what they promise. The biggest challenge I've seen has been getting into their client roster since they're always booked with business -understandable for the quality and integrity they deliver. I've worked with a lot of accounting firms in Colorado; Infinite Tax has become my primary go-to for resolving multi-year complex tax filings for clients. Transparency, integrity, and quality tax advising and filing. I highly endorse and recommend Infinite.

I've worked with Alicia for many years and I'm disappointed to say that I stayed too long as the communication and availability was tolerable at best and offensive at worst. In the end, this was not a good experience for me and I'm glad to be moving forward. The three stars are for the skill which was good and was only brought down due the disappointing communication style and availability.

My company worked with Alicia for four years. The last three years were fine, though Alicia was always difficult to get a hold of. This year has been exceptionally bad. It is August and we have yet to receive our tax returns for last year. I have sent multiple emails requesting updates, tax extension confirmations, or a date when we can expect our returns and would receive no response. After 5-6 emails and over two months after I was told our taxes would be done, I was told they were in the middle of a move and should have them done in a week or two. I emailed 2-3 after that asking for a estimated completion time and have still yet to hear back. Running a business has enough challenges, micromanaging a CPA that you are paying should not be one of them. I suggest finding a different tax prep company.

I was a client of ITS from 2017 until early 2020. I had several problems with ITS and Alicia Utley specifically, costing me nearly $10,000 of penalties and interest at both the Federal and State levels. These were reported to both the IRS and the CO Department of Revenue.I highly recommend using some other tax preparer, especially if you have any sort of complicated taxes (K-1s, itemizing deductions, business income, etc.).As many others have stated, Alicia is almost entirely non-responsive to emails and telephone calls. Her staff tries to be as helpful as possible, except Alicia is a bottleneck so they're generally unable to help.My specific issue relates to the fact that Alicia failed to include significant income in 2018 estimated tax payments due April 15, 2019. This error caused me significant financial penalties and interest. I attempted to speak with Alicia about this issue several times, to both understand it and to discuss a game plan to remediate the issue. Alicia failed to engage after several months. She eventually claimed to have written the IRS an abatement letter, which was never provided to me or authorized by me, after repeated requests. The IRS had no record of having received such an abatement letter.I switched tax preparers and he was able to provide me with an abatement letter within a few days. We were able to resolve the issue w/the IRS after a few months of back and forth, though it cost me ~$10,000 to resolve.Overall, ITS and Alicia is non-responsive to communications, prepares an unacceptable work product and may cause significant financial harm as a result. Use at your own risk.Update: Per ITS's response, I am adding additional details.First, ITS states that the issues included "many factors out of their [sic] control". This is simply untrue. As stated above, ITS failed to include information that had been provided to them in advance of estimated taxes being due. This failure on their part, which was entirely in their control, led to financial burden upon my family. I had even asked to see the estimated tax calculation in April 2019 before submitting the extension, as I thought the estimated payment was too small. My request to see the estimate calculation was denied by Ms. Utley.Second, ITS vaguely states that "behavior towards our staff was unfavorable when I [sic] did not receive the result I [sic] desired." To be clear, I never received any sort of result - I was given the run-around for more than 3 months before firing ITS.The sequence of events started when I first raised the issue on October 13, 2019. I then received an IRS penalty letter on November 6, 2019. Ms. Utley replied 5 days later, saying I was on her list for this week. I heard nothing until I followed up in mid-December, and was ignored again. I then received my 3rd notice from the IRS on January 13, 2020 which threatened tax liens. I called the IRS myself, who had no record of having spoken with ITS or having received any written communication from ITS (Ms. Utley had previously represented that she both called and sent a letter on my behalf, which still has never been provided). After continuing to receive no response from Ms. Utley, I called ITS on a daily basis that week to request a timeline of their anticipated actions to resolve the issue. I was repeatedly told Ms. Utley would get back to me that day or the next day. Ms. Utley continued to ignore the issue. I terminated the relationship on January 22, 2020 and requested the return of all of my files. After continuing to not receive any response, I suggested litigation on January 31, 2020. Ms. Utley then finally responded, "your aggressive nature is alarming and unwarranted". I respectfully disagree. I had been patient for months with no progress or explanation from ITS and I began to follow-up to remedy the issue.Simply put, ITS and Ms. Utley behaved incompetently and unprofessionally for a professional services firm, and I do not recommend them as a service provider.

I have worked with Alicia and been a client of Infinite Tax Solutions for eight years. I am no longer a client because they mailed a letter notifying me of their decision to abruptly end representation. They also promptly removed my portal account, and therefore access to my documents, which I find unprofessional and unnecessary. The letter stated, “Now that you no longer have a business income tax return to file, we believe TurboTax will be the best option for you to file your tax returns online.” Although they suggested TurboTax, they also included a “Recommended Tax Firms” document. It seems strange that I would need to find a new firm if TurboTax is the best option for me moving forward. The ITS website specifically states, “We prepare tax returns for individuals…” I am perplexed and disappointed they would choose to discard me as a client based on the fact that I no longer have a business. I believe it would be more professional to simply own their decision to no longer represent me rather than make a claim/excuse such as this. This year, I was invoiced for a Schedule A and Schedule B, but they were not filed on my behalf. Additionally, I was billed twice that of my friends (with comparable returns) who also utilized ITS’s services. I didn’t even question it. I simply paid the invoice, as Alicia has always been fair with me in the past. Inconsistencies in fee schedules and billing practices make me question the value placed on their clients by ITS.After submitting my docs on March 10th, I was told my return would likely be completed in 2-3 weeks due to corporate taxes, which had priority, being due March 15. That is completely understandable, so I patiently waited over four weeks to call and check on status. I feel as though I was provided invalid and/or dishonest reasoning as to why my return was not yet complete. On April 12th, I politely questioned the timeliness of the process and expressed my desire to file my return by the normal IRS deadline of April 15th. My return was done the next morning.I truly cannot think of any reason I should have been “fired” as a client, but believe poorly run operations within ITS ultimately resulted in this outcome. As I look through other reviews, I notice a trend that few clients get the opportunity to work directly with Alicia any longer. Unfortunately, this lack of one-on-one attention has led to decreased service and an overall feeling of frustration. As a client who did nothing but sing the praises of Alicia and her ability to do excellent tax prep work, as well as continually referred friends and family to ITS, I am certainly not impressed with my most recent, and final, business experience. I can no longer, in good faith, recommend ITS. I left 2-stars because I would give a 5-star review based on Alicia’s level of return preparation capabilities and zero stars for ITS’s front-end business operations and treatment of clients.

I have been going to Infinite tax Solutions for the past five years and have had complete and thorough transparency and timely responses to any questions and concerns I have had. Her staff have also been just as friendly, helpful and responded to my concerns and emails. Alicia has nothing short of my complete and total respect and appreciation for her dedication and hard work. I have no reservations referring Alicia/Infinite Tax Solutions for your tax preparation needs.

I am amazed of the amount of 5 star ratings that this business is getting. Maybe I just had really bad luck with them? I was also recommended by someone in the same business as me to do taxes here. First off I do have to say that due to the amount of people they had doing taxes, They did tell me that they would have to file an extension for me since they had to finish up the people ahead of me. Not a problem. After a few months I was asked to upload documents to a portal that they gave me, and I gave them everything they needed. Well one day I received an email from one of the ladies working there and she told me I needed to sign the documents RIGHT AWAY. Like that exact day. Without knowing what I am signing due to the amount of money I had owed, I needed to talk to her to go over the amount I owed. Nobody picked up the phone, Multiple voicemails were left, Text messages etc... The only response was from the receptionist saying she will let Sharron or Alicia know I need to talk to them. They didn't get back to me until 2 weeks later. At this point I now have a penalty for a late payment fee. AND I still don't know why I owe the amount that I do. Whatever, I paid it. I then get another mail from the IRS a month later and of course I upload it to the portal because that is their instructions for when we get any mail from the IRS. Just upload it and they will see what it is. Turns out it is another penalty. Of course I paid it because I know nothing about tax. That is why we pay these professionals right? One month later, This is now December. I get another penalty fee from the IRS. For late filing? Did they not file my extension at all? And guess what I uploaded the documents to their "portal" and they claim that they don't see anything. When I can clearly open the portal and see the folder. SO, they gave me an email address to send the document to so that they can see it that way. AND they also said to text them a picture of the front and back of the document because apparently Alicia does not answer emails because she is too busy. WOW. You can take my money but you can't answer my emails. Not just you, But all your employees as well. I also stated clearly in the text that I needed to know if I need to pay this by January 11th. The text with documents was sent on the 4th. Guess what? ZERO response. I will be paying this penalty as well and just pretend I never did business with this place. Why do I even bother writing a long review? Not because I want to shame their so called business but because I want others to think twice before losing a lot of money by trusting these people that are too busy to answer an email, phone call, text, or even their portal that they use. And you are probably reading this because you are looking for a good place to do your taxes. I do see 5 star reviews and maybe you will get 5 star service. As for me, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Good Luck Everyone.

She might be good at taxes, I don't really know enough to be the judge of that. This is a review of the customer service, which I can judge. I never seem to be able to reach them! You would think they would respond to their emails, but I have tried to get a hold of them for months. They were my family's accountant, but I'm going to move to a new one
