Honestly this was a pretty frustrating experience. I went in for an eyeglasses and contact lens exam and was given the wrong prescription (which I realized a couple days after wearing the contacts). I felt pressured into buying contacts the day of. I went in again to see the doctor and he changed my prescription and but my vision was still blurry afterwards. I ended up finding an old pair of contacts with my old prescription which ended up giving me crystal clear vision. So basically, I had an exe exam for no reason. I was also told over the phone two weeks after my appointment that I had a balance of $60 on my account, even though nobody told me anything when I had my exam. I was also told that my my contacts would cost $80 but when they asked me for my card the total was $200. They were not at all transparent about the costs. Not sure what's going on there but that was the most ridiculous experience I've had at a eye care center.

Took almost two hours to get my eye exam done, there was no option of opting out of photos of your eye taken with a $39 copay or getting your eyes dilated. One of the technicians was extremely off-putting, although the final lady that helped me with paying was very nice and helpful, she took extra time to look into my insurance which I appreciated. Overall seemed disorganized and understaffed.

I went here for years but they've gone way downhill. They need help with their organization, records, and more. My insurance covers exam, and they had me pay my copay when I went in and confirmed it's still covered. They keep sending a big bill, I call, they apologize and promise to fix, but never do. Also they BLAST hard rock music, which seems to be for people who work there without mind to how loud it is for patrons, and have those awful toxic plug in air fresheners in every outlet (a warning for anyone with allergies and asthma). I've tried to get help from a manager to fix billing issue to no avail.

This location has its issues although the staff is friendly. Took forever to get my glasses, but they were not according to my Pearle Vision doctor prescription. To get them remade took even longer! no offer of compensation for the mistakes & delays (discount on lens protection? or 20% off next purchase? perhaps).

No eye doctor on site. They send images to someone remote. No one let me know until i drove over an hour for my appt. As a physician I find this appalling. When I suggested to the tech that he should wear a mask bc he works close-up with college students he got huffy and stated “there is no mask mandate.”PATHETIC

Returned here after a few years because my experience had been truly perfect in all aspects (service, quality of glasses, performance in fitting, etc). However, my new glasses are a disappointment. Despite they assuring they had not changed manufacturers, these new glasses are not the same as before; the vision corridor is narrower, so things get weirdly distorted at closer distances which is where I need them the most. And they are not well adjusted--- I need to put my face in a weird position to be able to read and work on my computer. It seems as if they had made a different kind of glasses (like the newer computer versions or the like, but I cannot figure it out). So no, I wouldn't recommend going here because even if they try to fit them, in their receipt says that they won't refund. A shame, really cause my experience here before had been perfect. The stars are because the service is good, staff are friendly and professional, but the product, definitely not of quality.

Thanks to Ashley and Adam for their help finding new frames, going through the options for frames and lenses, making sure all of my insurance stuff worked out, and in general just being fantastically helpful. I have had some bad experiences at other optometry places, so I'm very glad Pearle Vision is there to pick up the slack.

Quick appointment scheduling and stylish frames to choose from. Took my entire family here and everyone was fitted and satisfied with their experience at this location. Friendly associates!!!

Extremely disappointed with the interaction with this location and would caution others in pursuing Pearle Vison for their vision needs. Reasoning found below. (Edited to include FURTHER frustration with the experience with this location. The edit is CLEARY noted)Signed up online for an appointment yesterday, for an appointment TODAY, and had an "Ali" reach out for insurance information at just after 9 this morning. Besides the website not clearly stating what insurance the location takes, and the explicit link FOR insurance being broken, and not opening on a basic web browser (Not a mobile site, which I could understand some difficulty with EDIT: Turns out that the Mobile version of the site doesn't even include a link about the insurance that this location takes, so you know, double whammy!) I had assumed that Medicaid would be an acceptable insurance option, and responded to let "Ali" know that I couldn't provide a picture of the card, but could provide the information for the policy easily, all within ten minutes of the initial text from "Ali".Nearly THREE HOURS LATER, "Ali" sent me a one line response letting me know that the store doesn't take Medicaid for Vision Coverage. Beyond genuine disappointment that Boulder Pearle Vision doesn't take the single most populous public insurance in the US, with a nearly staggering 20% of the population being covered, it's absolutely NONSENSE that a store neither has coverage information easily available for perusal, but also has staff which apparently cannot reasonably share that information in anywhere near a timely period.Again, any sort of ability to NOT waste ones time is obviously preferred, but having the professionalism to follow through with a STAFF INITIATED COMMUNICATION is basic business 101.

i had a light prescription since a long time and i needed to change to 'everyday' glasses i guess my view changed since few years. They changed my prescription after a full exam. Few weeks after i received my new glasses, they made me 'reading glasses', i can't wear them, i came back to the store... they are still supposed to call me ! Worst experience ever, 'manager' i guess seems to not care about clients.

Had a frustrating visit where I explicitly asked how much I would pay and how I often get charged more than I anticipate. Despite this they still added hidden charges. It felt very disingenuous. I will not be returning. The Doc was great however.

Regret going here - went in to switch from glasses to contacts full-time. Went through the exam (which they changed from my previous prescription). They ordered me contacts, and when I got them I had trouble seeing at the grocery store, at the computer, and a lot of other places. I called to try to figure out the situation and the gentleman on the phone didn't answer any of my questions, seeming only interested in getting me a different brand ordered ASAP, and not letting me talk to or see the optometrist. Told him my old daily contacts didn't have this issue, and he rushed to get those prescription numbers from me so he could just order that. Zero interest in actually tracking down the issue. Now I'm going somewhere else, because I don't want to have to fight to get staff to actually care, and my insurance of course has the yearly eye exam used so that'll be out of pocket. Fun times.

Getting an itemized receipt to understand pricing was unexpectedly difficult. Their current billing info isnt user friendly. Although the staff were very helpful, long and grueling process to get the right info made it an overall negative experience.

They were very accommodating getting my son into an appointment but they weren't very friendly. They didnt even offer us any advice about the frames either. I guess you get the cold shoulder if you're on Medicaid and they think that you cant pay for the frames out of pocket. They treated us like we were lepers
