Expensive but very knowledgeable and kind folks working here. I’d recommend if you’re new to the game but for seasoned riders, best make friends with a local place. Overall, I recommend 11/10. Thanks!

Just want to shout out Brandon who helped me with a tire swap, added a bell to keep me safe and install a small pump with his honest voice of "I personally haven't used that bike pump, but there are others that I don't recommend highly, so I think it's worth a shot." I rode to work this morning with ease and felt safer doing so.

They were incredibly helpful and kind. They took a lot of time to solve my problem and even worked with the Denver flagship store to work through an issue I had. They seem to be a very solid team over there. Hats off!

Longtime member of REI. But an outdoor store that caters to people who live on the road but doesn't allow dogs... bummer! Would rather take my business elsewhere than leave my dog in the car.

We went during their annual sale and got several things at least 40% off. They had great customer service. When a couple things we wanted were out of stock they helped me find it on the website and I got the sale price that day.

Employee ('W')told me I shouldn't be buying a shoe for just looks, lol. I do not need a purpose to shop, buy or follow REI's(Whitney's) reasons for purchasing a shoe. Yes employee you are smart but I just needed you to get the shoes for me to try on. Thnx for disappearing on me btw. Oh yes, it was mentioned to me me that 'there are other customers' - I could see that, no need for the info.

Just went in to the REI in boulder for an online order pickup. I bought some hiking boots and hiking poles. I wanted to try them on in store so I went to the back of the store where the shoe department is. I was quickly helped by Thomas. They ended up having a size smaller in stock so we compared the two. I chose the smaller size and Thomas helped me pick out inserts for arch support and cut them to perfectly fit the boot. I bought the Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid GORE-TEX Hiking Boots with SOLE Performance Medium Wide Insoles. My Fiance liked the boots so much he got the men's version and Thomas also helped him insoles for his boots. Thomas was very knowledgeable and friendly, great advice! This is why we shop at stores like REI. Thank you!

Bought a $3K e-bike and a $250 child bike seat from REI. When I went to go pick it up, the folks at the shop told me I needed to purchase and additional $50 adapter for the seat. I asked multiple people if they were sure as I didn't think it needed an adapter. Since everyone said I did I went ahead and got one. Turns out I did not need an adapter, which was very obvious when you open the bike seat. There was also a lot of tape left on the bike after they put it together. All in all did not create a lot of confidence in the bike staff. I bet they are probably great for bicycles but for higher end e-bikes I would recommend going somewhere else that are more familiar with the bikes.

I bought my first hybrid bike the other day and had the best experience! The staff(Brandon, Kim and Allison) answered all of my questions and really took time out to make sure the bike properly fit my frame. They are very knowledgeable about bikes and we're a joy to work with!

I'm passing through this area and need roof racks for my car. Every other REI in the country allows dogs inside but these guys are unique. It's very hot outside here and they told me the dog needed to stay in the car. Specifically because there is a dog upstairs in the office. However, the dog can come in with a vest on? So if the dog is wearing a vest than jt won't bother the dog upstairs? Makes no sense. In a hot place like this, with rules in Colorado about dogs being safe in high car temps, you think they'd let dogs in the store. Especially when you're just passing through and don't have a house to put them in. No thanks. This place sucks.

REI is the best! They provide great quality and the expertise of the staff is very unrivaled. When we go to REI we know we can count on these values. We also appreciate the the coop ownership model.

Great store in Boulder! Usually has great selection of anything you need. The women's sale section usually has styles of brands that are actually cheaper than buying that thing from the brands sale section which is nice. Good selection of things but tends to run out of smaller sizes pretty quickly which can be a pain. Lines usually go fast at the cashier and the associates are very helpful and knowledgeable. I usually buy shop here in person because with outdoor merchandise I find it better to see it in person but I occasionally do also go on the website.

Top notch spot! Got some rental gear for a good price while I was visiting the area earlier in the year, recently visited again for help researching gravel bikes; both times, the staff have been incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and it's been great to see so many options. This store's also got a sizable clearance section, and another for refurbished gear, so you can snag some great stuff at a deep discount.

I cannot tell y'all how HAPPY I was! I walked into the REI just to browse and found my dream coat I'd been searching for. Not to mention it was HALF OFF! I took that sucker right up to the register and the employee was super super friendly. We had great conversation and he was just as ecstatic about my coat deal as I was! Very clean and organized store. When you visit, be sure to check out their garage section. They are constantly adding items daily (as told by my checkout employee)
