Oh my gosh...I can't say enough great things about SOBO! Their work is stunning!!! They've remodeled the main floor of my house, and I can't believe it's even my house!!! They are so professional, organized to a tee, and are very good communicators. They take you through the process step by step, have great vision, and do top notch work! I consider them my friends now! I'm AMAZED at my house! Thank you SOBO!

This is the best design and build (or any construction/contracting) company we have ever worked with. I was impressed at every step of the way with the care they took to make sure we were comfortable with the design and costs. We love the kitchen design developed by their interior design team. And the construction could not have been smoother, everything on schedule during the entire project, and always helpful if something additional needed to be addressed. The project finished on the exact date we had determined sixth months prior. We couldn't be happier with the whole experience.

Our goal: one-level living to accommodate our aging bodies. We live in a tri-level house yet we love our neighborhood. What to do?
We had a thought: what if we punched a hole in the dining room wall into the garage then changed that garage into a bedroom, bath and laundry?
How on earth could we accomplish that? Call SoBo!
SoBo had done a bit of work for us several years ago (updated a guest room, added a front porch, changed our front window into a bay window and put in a west-facing window for our living room). We had enjoyed working with them in the past so thought we would check in with them again. Are we ever glad we did.
SoBo is known as a “design build” company and we cannot stress enough how important and fruitful the “design” component is. They met with us weekly from January into May going over every detail of the project from roof lines to electrical outlets. They listened carefully to every idea we had, took every question seriously, laughed at every joke, put forth a myriad of ideas for us to consider and, throughout the process, handled every aspect of the project: architecture, engineering, exterior design, interior design, permitting (thank heavens!), and working with the host of subcontractors who would be contributing to the project. This attention to detail during the design phase paid off handsomely resulting in almost no hiccups as the project progressed.
Once the project was underway, SoBo took great care with the existing part of the house. Whenever we were still in the house, SoBo was respectful of our lives (as well as the happiness of our dog). We did leave the house during the heaviest part of the project and were amazed at how ship-shape the house was upon our return. Communication did not suffer during our long-distance absence from the project; our SoBo project manager checked in with us weekly via zoom, was always available for questions and project updates were posted weekly.
And the result: an on-time, on-budget project giving us a spectacular light-filled new wing to our home that blends beautifully with the original house and far exceeds our original ho hum goal of single-level living. We are now thoroughly enjoying a fabulous laundry room, glorious bedroom, lovely bathroom and astounding walk-in closet. We couldn’t be happier.

We are so happy with the work done by SoBo Homes. We did a complete remodel of the interior of our home to update a 1970s house to feel clean and modern. The design process was fun and thorough, and the SoBo team did an amazing job of listening to our feedback and making the design perfect. The tech platform they use to organize everything and communicate with us is wonderful and user-friendly.
As for the work itself, we are so impressed with Mason and his team. It took 6 months to complete the renovation (4 bedrooms, 3 bath, full kitchen, etc.), which was impressive. We added some new windows and made a few structural changes and SoBo really kept to the timeline, with only a couple of minor delays. This was much appreciated as we moved out and were in a rental with our toddler during the project, so we are so grateful for the transparent timeline and frequent communication. We also had weekly meetings at the house during the project which was a great way to see the progress and discuss any things that came up along the way. Most changes to the budget were caught/discussed during the design process. SoBo has also been great about coming to make minor tweaks on things around the house as they come up. We so appreciate how responsive they are. We are posting some before and after photos.
Overall we are so pleased and glad that we chose SoBo homes to build our dream home. We would definitely recommend them!

Have you ever heard of a remodel project being completed EARLY?! SoBo pulled it off with professionalism and talent and every step of the way was filled with precision and care. We could not be happier with the entire team! Eric and Mike run a well-oiled machine. All of the people that work at SoBo bring a depth of knowledge and spirit of 'fun' to the job. We genuinely looked forward to our weekly meetings. This is our second experience working with SOBO homes and we are very happy with the entire organization: The team of Mike, Eric, Mason, Will, Amanda and all the others, including all the sub-contractors--who were all professional and responsive. On a project of this scope, inevitably there will be problems that come up, and everyone took very seriously a team approaching to resolving everything! All the way up until the last day of the project, Mason made sure that quality work was being done and that we were happy. We appreciated this so much! We love our porch and are already spending 125% of our time out there!

We worked with Eric, Mike, Mason and team at SoBo to turn our detached garage into an ADU. From design through to completion, SoBo was wonderful to work with. Any time we had issues during the project, whether it was related to budget, build or otherwise, SoBo was responsive and put in the extra time to make sure it was handled or fixed. We’ve now been enjoying our space for more than a year and have signed on with SoBo for another, larger project because they did such great work the first time around. SoBo Homes is awesome. Great people, highest quality work. Trustworthy. And somehow they made an incredibly overwhelming project seem fun.The end result was beyond what we could have dreamed of--Lisa's design touches were right on the money. She listened to our wishes, figured out our style (I didn't even know we had a style), and found the right balance to create the finishes that we wanted within our price range.Our project manager Mason is the best. He always seems to be thinking of a better way to do things. And he makes sure it's always done right. We look forward to meeting him weekly, but he's always quick to respond by text or phone if something comes up before then.Appreciate all the Sobo team does to respond to our concerns and provide excellent customer service. Highly recommend them, and would use in the future if we are able!

Sobo Homes is unique in its field, and we are so happy with our new house! The planning and design process is well-organized and efficient--and well-intended to flesh out any issues on the front end of the project. The entire Sobo team is personable and professional--and it has been really fun to work with them. On the design side, Lisa, Eric, and Mike are thoughtful and detail oriented to help you figure out what you really want and need for your project. On the construction side, everyone is professional, careful, and skilled at the craft--from keeping the project largely on schedule during very challenging times (supply chain issues, weather, etc...) to managing the finer construction details (thank you, Kyle!), our project was impressively smooth from start to finish. They use quality subcontractors and suppliers, which is important as well. We highly recommend this team!

We had a great experience from start to finish with Sobo in a huge gut renovation and addition of our home in Boulder. They were professional, creative, and responsive. Mason was an excellent manager of lots of moving parts/materials/contractors. We loved working with Beth on design. And we absolutely LOVE the end result! If you are looking to remodel, these people are great. They are organized, communicative, supportive, respectful, and offer solutions and ideas to the project to make it the best it can be for your budget.
