I've repeatedly had negative experiences with Walgreens, particularly this location (my doctors office warned me away from this location, but it was in close proximity). They have been unreliable and its been a large chore just getting my prescriptions from them. Look for another pharmacy!

Always have problems with the Pharmacy. I don't care about Walgreens anymore.

It's 5:00am, you can't sleep because you are almost out of your refills. Don't go here if you don't want to be in my shoes. It's been days and I was told prescription will be available. Still no update on refill. Waited 1.5 hours on phone and then eventually got hung-up on. They almost NEVER answer their phone 99.99% of the time. Worst is the .001% they answer the phone and give you false hope that the prescription will be ready and you trust them. I called another pharmacy to transfer the prescription and guess what they said... "call your doctor's office to send prescription to us, we are not calling Walgreens since they never answer the phone". And now the strike... This will be my best advice to you here, don't use this place as your pharmacy. Getting a prescription shouldn't be this hard. I am calling my doctor's office to send prescription elsewhere

The Pharmacy at WALGREENS 28TH St. and Valmont Road in Boulder HAS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN ANY BUSINESS IN BOULDER. Worse than any Drug Store, Restaurant, Post Office, Sporting Goods Store, Tire Center, Jiffy Lube, 7-11 Convenience store or Doctors Office, Clothing Store, Auto Repair Shop or Real Estate Office. They clearly don't care. They have no one working there who cares, no management or supervision. I have lived here for over 50 years and have NO IDEA how they are still in business. You cannot call them you cannot use the drive thru or stand in line without leaving frustrated. I called today and just wanted to see how long it would take for them to answer the phone. 2 hours 22 Mins. on hold, they finally pick up and they immediately hung up. I spent over an hour in the drive up and the young lady working says we will fill the prescription now if you can wait. 20 mins later she rudely and abruptly says they are out of stock and walks away from the window. I waited 10 more mins to see when I should come back but she avoided me so I left. I witnessed at least 10-12 customers shake their heads and leave frustrated In the hour or more I waited in the drive-thru line. I will NEVER AGAIN waste time dealing with Walgreens in Boulder on 28th St. off Valmont Road. BTW this is the first Review I have ever left for a business. Tells you how completely awful it is to do business there. Read the other reviews, they all say pretty much the same thing. James

Severely understaffed. The poor pharmacy crew can't keep up with the demand, there are never enough people on staff, so the pharmacists are overworked and forced to deal with the angry/unhappy customers who queue in line for 30+ minutes only to be told their prescriptions aren't ready yet. Walgreens corporate should be ashamed of themselves, this is a terrible way to treat employees and customers.

Staff does a good job managing a ton of volume. Since other pharmacies have closed nearby it’s hard to find any pharmacy not swamped. I appreciate the staff dealing with the endless steam of people in a hurry.

Very slow, understaffed, prescriptions take 2/3/4x the amount of time to fill than it shows. I waited 24hours over the projected time with my prescription "being worked on" , couldn't even call to confirm. Go to a different pharmacy if you need medication sooner than later

Consistently the absolute worst pharmacy in Boulder - no exaggeration. Try calling them - they never pick up the phone. Just this week I spent hours on hold trying to make sure they got my prescription correct, which without fail they mess up every time. And sure enough, it happened again. What makes it infuriating is that they just don't care. The bubble-gum chewing women didn't apologize and instead tried to tell me my prescription was expired which it wasn't. The online order was 100% correct and they just f'd up. Done with them. Save yourself the brain damage and select another competent and caring pharmacy.

This is a painfully frustrating and slow pharmacy experience. The wait times are without fail, 45+ minutes. The pharmacy is understaffed and overworked. The folks are friendly, but you will rip your hair out with the incompetent management. It is clear that this pharmacy is not given the attention or resources it needs. They have not improved in all of my time living here. Suggest switching pharmacies immediately. I would give 0 stars if I could

The only reason I give this or any Walgreens I've been to in the recent past 2 stars is because the people that work at the pharmacy are patient, respectful, and do their job very well for the tools that are given to them. That said, there is clearly an upper/corporate management shortcoming because (no matter if you wait in the line inside, roll through the drive through, or call them up) you're looking at a minimum 30 min wait. Same thing with the Walgreens on Colfax and Race in Denver.

Most useless pharmacy full of completely incompetent people. Complete and total disregard for the well-being of other humans. 1 star is too much for them.

Horrible Pharmacy… the store is fine. The Pharmacy employees don’t care at all. Rude, forgetful, and they tend to ignore the customer. The line will be out the door and they have one person helping with 6 “filling prescriptions”.

My latest experience here has finally cost Walgreens a customer for good. I waited 52 minutes on a Saturday morning to pick up a prescription. There were only 4 cars in front of me when I pulled up, for a total of over 10 minutes per car. I have never had a good experience here, with the average wait time being at least 30 minutes no matter when you go.The person working in the pharmacy was very kind, and clearly flustered by the workload, and told me that they have been hiring people but they don't show up to work consistently. This tells me that Walgreens isn't paying their employees enough to make it worth their time to show up to work. I know this isn't the fault of the employees, but rather a failure by Walgreens to value their customers and employees adequately. You can hire people that are good enough if you pay them a fair wage for the area.I will be going to Costco pharmacy from now on. If you're reading this review, go somewhere else. If you're reading this from Walgreens, you need to seriously change the way you're staffing this pharmacy, because this is unacceptable.

I’ve been refraining from posting a review because while the lines and turnaround times are atrocious, the staff has always been helpful and kind. Recently though, they told me my provider filled in out the script wrong on one of my prescriptions, ironically my provider called and left a message and never spoke to anyone or changed how it was written and suddenly Walgreens fixed it. I was annoyed but would survive. Then, another prescription was out of stock and they told me to do nothing and it would get filled when it was in stock. The person I spoke to on the phone was rude and said she had never told me that, that I had to keep calling when it’s out of stock. It happened to be in stock and it was filled and I got a notice it was ready. When I went tonight neither of my prescriptions were ready despite notifications and the pharmacist was so incredibly rude to me (said some really snarky things) and wouldn’t allow me to wait and for the prescription, told me I had to return in the morning. I wish I could give zero stars. I get things are messed up for everyone but when you get rude to the point where you cut me off and don’t let me speak and tell me I’m lucky to even be able to get my medicine tomorrow when I was nothing but polite is just over the line. I will not be returning after tomorrow.

Same as everyone is saying. It takes no joke an hour+ to get prescriptions. Been like this for at-least a year
