I don't normally write reviews, but seeing as reviews were the reason I went to this store in the first place, I felt I had to share my experience.
I haven't painted a miniature in over 20 years (I helped my brother paint them when I was a little kid), and I've never tried playing the tabletop game at all. I met Ken when I walked in and explained that I'm essentially new to The Hobby and was looking to get into it. Ken was AWESOME. He got me set up at a table in the shop and walked me through painting my first Space Marine. We chatted about painting, the rules of the tabletop game, the various factions, etc. for nearly three hours. He was super knowledgeable and a ton of fun to hang with. I cannot overstate how welcoming and cool the environment in Ken's store is.
If you have even a passing interest in anything Warhammer related, you owe it to yourself to check out this store in Boulder. It is top to bottom, front to back Warhammer, including miniature sets, paints, rulebooks, terrain, and accessories, as well as several tabletops for people to run games on. I'll definitely be going back, once I finish painting my first Combat Patrol, to play my first game!

I don't even know where to start. The manager Ken is an incredibly helpful and friendly guy! This dude goes above and beyond helping people get into the hobby. He helped me pick out the paint schemes for the army I had and gave me a 1 on 1 tutorial on how to prime and paint my minis. He was incredibly patient and a wealth on knowledge, practical or lore.I love this store and drive an hour over other, closer, hobby shops just for how amazing the customer service is here.

My boyfriend and I love this shop. The guy who works here, Nick, is so awesome. Very kind and welcoming and knowledgeable. Even if there were more shops open closer to us, we'd probably still come to this one and prefer it because of Nick.

I had some bad personal experiences with Warhammer as a kid, and kinda always shunned the game. But a friend convinced me to check the game out, and to visit the store and play a game or two.Ken, the person who greeted me, couldn't have been better at making the environment inviting, without hovering or smothering, and answering all of my questions earnestly. And I ask some rather esoteric questions, rapidly, and randomly.The first time I went, I didn't buy anything and he was okay with that. Tbh my friend and I were really tired and I didn't really have a fun game of Kill Team. But I listened and watched Ken interact with customers, curious onlookers, and such, each one made to feel welcomed, interacted with individually, and with an intelligence and a very open honesty that is quite refreshing to me. I came back the next weekend, and Ken helped me and my spouse make some excellent purchases, and I had a blast playing my first 40k game today! In the matter of two visits, Ken made me very hopeful for the hobby!Thank you Ken,From Chris and Shelby

Really enjoy my trips to the Warhammer store. Knowledgeable and skilled employees really inspire me to get my army in tip top shape and stay on top of the latest books.WAAAGH!!!!!

One of the best experiences ever. As a beginner getting into Warhammer and looking for advice before 10th edition drops, the employees are both knowledgeable and super nice. Very hard to find that sort of welcome in other hobby stores.

If you are looking to get into Warhammer/AOS and want an endless repository of good advice and patient explanations, then this is where you want to go. Ken is such a good store manager that you will actually want to pay full price for models in-store rather than resorting to cheaper secondhand options. If you aren't new to the hobby, drop by anyways and try to match wits with Ken. Bet you can't.

Can't believe I never wrote a review. Love this store. First one I went to when I was first interested in the hobby, and the folks who work here are fantastic. It's 2022 now and I still go to this store specifically because of the people who work here, Ken especially. Even have days where I stop here just to hang out and chat after work with no intention of buying stuff at all. Good number of times where I ended up doing so though haha.

Ken has been extremely helpful and informative every time I've visited the location. As a new player it was a pleasent experience having him answer the questions I had and provide his insights in a friendly manner. Highly recommend this store!

Great place for hobby, good selection of products, the manager is welcoming and knowledgeable with amazing social skills and showing an almost instant avaibility to the needs of the clients.I drive a couple hours just to get there but the place and the people there make it entirely worth it. I can't recommend it enough no matter if you are a hobby beginner or veteran.

Great store! The store manager, Ken is really helpful and understanding, there's always a few games going on on the weekends and people working on a painting or building project. Lots of places nearby to grab lunch if you're there for a game day and the staff are really welcoming. I always get a greeting by first name when coming in the door usually followed by a chat about what I've been working on and some shop talk about the newest releases and upcoming plans. Low pressure but helpful and attentive staff and friendly atmosphere.

The manager is the sweetest and most helpful guy! My boyfriend and I dropped in to check out their paints and models, we explained we were new to the world of minis and only really play D&D which isn’t exactly the same but we’re looking for minis for a home brew. He showed us some really great options after getting and idea for what we were going for, and then went a step further offering to help teach us how to assemble and paint the models! He helped us find out more about the local community and made it all very welcoming and fun. Can’t recommend this store highly enough!
