My favorite place for "project" materials like copper, brass and aluminum. Unfortunately they had to close. City of Boulder likes to tax businesses to death.

Now I am supposed to drive my van with brass scrap to DENVER? That will be about 30.00 in diesel fuel, wear and tear on vehicle, payroll to cover the trip, and the occasional tire shredded entering scrap year area.Nice job, Boulder. Couldn't some space near Charm, Ecocycle, been allocated for a metal recycler. If Western OWNED the building, no pity... but if they were priced out of rented space.... that is a big greenwashing job by the Zoning Czar.Chalk that up on the same list of lost ESSENTIAL icon businesses, along with Boulder Electric Motors. Hoshi is near the edge of the city........one more hard shove, they will be gone, too.

He's a great guy and just in a bad spot with all the newer apartments driving the rent up and him out......He was there first for 30+ years. Very Unfortunate for being so "green"
