While I do like the environment, especially serving cats only, I no longer trust the vet I saw. I have moved away and started seeing another vet and they said my cat's teeth look very healthy. The vet at Cheshire told me my cat had bad gingivitis and was trying to talk me into a procedure that would cost around $1,000. The vet I talked to about this seemed shocked because our cat in fact, has quite healthy looking teeth. Very much feel like they were trying to scam us for our money. Glad I don't have to go back there.

The owner of this facility seems to have an unmedicated mental issue. You never know what your gonna get. One thing you will get is a massive bill for questionable care. Upon electing to go elsewhere (in a mature manner), the owner refused to release my cats records. Which held all of the questionable and expensive care items. A partial list was finally obtained by another facility. I was going to report her to DORA (license) for fraudulent services . My cat was end of life, and past. That took front seat over ensuring she doesnt continue. However judging by the number of staff that go through there, she will get reported and sanctioned. Shame on you! Medicate your mental health problems!

Great staff. Very caring and compassionate. They specialize in felines and have been a huge help with our rescued stray! If you have a furry little feline friend go check them out!

Great place to take your family member. Family like atmosphere, they are working all the time so you may have to wait a few minutes but nothing that would cause you an inconvenience l.

My mother has been going here for years. Since the passing of Se Jill’s sister the place is very lacking. The care we received since then is to healthy.we found out one cat has diabetes. They said if he has issues call. Brought him back the next day, left him only to not be called because the front staff doesn’t read the phone number to contact. To be told when we get there that he needs to go to an urgent care to get taken care of. Ok. Spend a good chunk of change there. What a blessing that was. The emergency vets are amazing. He is an older cat but with the tentative care he got he is in the mend. Took the other older cat there for sores. They said put ointment on it, took him back in they said wrap them. Took back in for a ck. He’ll always have to wear these. That has been the worst advice ever. Talk about an office only wanting your money. No compassion for the animal. Took hi to another vet.they gave me options. Ai asked is this really worth it. I was told he would do it. This condition is something that will probably never go away. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME MONEY OR YOUR CATS HEALTH WITHTHIS PLACE.There are better vets out there that do better care

Dr. Jill is literally a life saver. My kitty was in an awful state with hyperthyroid and sky-high blood pressure/heart issues. We had been to other vets, including an ER vet, and felt pressured to give him radiation, which just didn't feel right. Dr. Jill gave us a lot of other options, and ended up finding the right medication, as well as addressing bacteria issues in his teeth. Long story short, kitty is doing FANTASTIC now. Dr. Jill has decades of experience with cats, and she really, truly cares. She has sincere integrity and a big giant heart. We are so grateful we found her, and we trust her completely to take care of our floofy king. So very grateful we found Cheshire Cat!

My cat had been having breathing issues for several months, we took her to another vet to get less than adequate care. After moving I realized I needed to find a new vet. We found this place by chance, we drove by the other day. Thursday our cat was not acting herself, after calling I was told they weren’t able to get me in that day unfortunately but scheduled one for later. In the meantime I had the previous vet send over records, and I sent a video of her breathing. They called me right back and recommended ER, shortly after the doctor saw the video and had me go in there. They took my cat in right away and ran all the tests after confirming and getting consent. Sadly the results weren’t good. The doctor called and explained the findings and what the options were she even cried on the phone with me. Unfortunately a few hours after taking her home, we realized the treatment wasn’t working so we called back let them know her condition and they were able to see us right away so we can make sure she was no longer suffering. They treated her and us with respect and gave us all the time we needed to grieve. Today we even received a condolence card from them, it was very touching. I would highly recommend them for your cats.

This place will milk your money without telling you!! I took my cat here a few days ago for his bump on neck and his infected tooth. The lady wasn't clear on what tooth was infected and made it seem like all of his teeth is infected. I wanted to talk more about it when I got there to pick up my cat but the lady was busy with another cat which I understand but I would've liked to discuss more about my cat. When the front desk lady told me about my total I was in shock because they never clarified the pricing with me. I asked to see the receipt & asked about certain things and what they were. The lady had no idea what they were and looked confused as she was trying to explain what it was. My cat has a uti and he's a male cat, the lady told me to watch his pee for the next 3 days and if he doesn't pee she did the hand gesture cutting her throat... that was ridiculous. Can't believe I left my cat under their care. Never taking my cats here again. This place is a joke and very unprofessional.

Horrible service. These people don’t know how to communicate about anything. Doctor: The doctor doesn’t like people, as far as I can tell. She leaves all the communication to her staff. Her official veterinary records are chicken scratch handwriting that no one else can read. Unfortunately her staff is not up to the job, and there is no email by which to communicate with the practice. The tech: she authoritatively told me to come back in for antibiotics when there was no evidence of any infection. Then she treated me with hostility after I got a second opinion and came back trying to understand their perspective better. She smirked at me and accused me of neglecting my cat when I asked for a copy of the labs in the original format, which she had willingly shown me.The receptionist: confusing to talk to on the phone, but she is at least trying to be nice. Also their default policy of dropping the cat off for a full day just to do a blood draw is obnoxious, although they let me arrange to come in the afternoon and wait when I pushed hard on it. They told me to give my cat potassium without testing her potassium levels first, and gave my cat a rabies vaccine when her previous one was not expired and she is not high risk for contacting other animals.Overall, please avoid this vet unless you want the most patronizing, frustrating, irresponsible, and unprofessional experience around.

I took my cats there for a couple of years but won't be back. I've had the same negative experience as others -- told that my cats had to be sedated when they never did before, kept them all day for a routine checkup appointment, and a very rude call from the vet because she couldn't find something in their records she was looking for from my previous vet. I'm going to try a mobile vet next time! My kitties will be happier at my house anyway.

My first appointment I was running late I couldn't get my cat In the carrier so I called 30 min before the appointment to advise. The receptionist said as long as I don't get there past 10 min of my appointment time I could keep it. So I show up 8 minutes late, and the receptionist is on the phone for the next 10 minutes. When she hangs up she seemed so frazzled and confused, finally 5 min later she goes to tell the vet I'm here, and the vet denied my appointment. I decided to not get angry as this was my fault however I did make it within the 10 min window; and the receptionist was the one on the phone for 10 additional minutes. My next appointment, once again the receptionist was very rude, both her and the Dr. kept referring to my pet as a she, the wrong name, and asking over and over again why I was there. When the appointment did start, the vet wouldn't let me get a word in, I was there for a rabies shot. However her mind was made up that my cat had asthma even though she hadn't even examined my cat yet. I hadn't given her any reason on the forms to think this! She railroaded any questions I had, essentially belittled me in conversation and then scolded me for the fact that my cat had a 3 years rabies shot in his past. When I left , the receptionist once again was so out of it, I had to ask for my original 8 years of paperwork 4 times, by the 4th time I asked after I paid ($215 visit later because I was pressured into an antibiotic shot and some other vaccine I had never heard of) she acted mad at me for asking again! She basically threw the folder at me! I don't recommend this place, you won't be able to talk during the appointment and you will leave feeling like you don't even know what just happened.

Overall, I was made to feel like a bad pet parent for leaving a previously negligent vet, had large diagnoses given without proper follow up, and shots were given without confirmation of what my cats current prescriptions are. We go to vets for the knowledge they have, and when it is not given after payment is made, trust is completely ruined. You can stay for the long drawn out explanation below, or take my word to ask the right questions and make sure you get clear information when visiting this vet.My cat has been diagnosed with IBS and has been on medication for it for quite a long time. My previous vet was not hearing my concerns so I went to Cheshire with my concerns revolving around vomiting, her prescription food, her other prescriptions, losing weight, and pawing at her face after dental surgery. When I scheduled my appointment I informed the receptionist about this massive amount of information and she told me she would get the records from my previous vet and that the initial visit would be $80. Cut to the day of the appointment, and I was asked to provide my records which turned into a 30 minute delay of putting my previous vet office on speaker phone to make sure that they did indeed send the records over. When my "15 year old orphan that we don't have records for" was finally seen it was a rushed physical check in which I was berated again for not having her records and made to feel like a bad pet parent because my car has an "huge heart murmur that could be heard by anyone". I was again made to feel bad that the doctor was backed up now because my records were not available for her to look at and my cat needed to stay so she could get tests done. When I went to pick her up the original diagnosis revolving around her food was addressed only when I asked and I was given a snack sized Ziploc bag of food and a can of wet food and told we could deal with it later in 2 weeks. She received an injection of steroids, even though I informed them she was on a steroid prescription on the intake paperwork and verbally. Even though the medication was expired (again see negligent vet above), too much steroids can be a bad thing even if they aren't as potent. While the Dr did catch a UTI that my previous vet left untreated after her dental surgery (really negligent old vet), I was charged $150 for the initial visit and it was not communicated to me at all until I called them when I got home. I asked for a treatment plan for the heart murmur and a refund of the $70 for the miscommunication. I was told I would not get a refund for the extra charge, and that the heart murmur would be looked at during the next visit in 2 weeks.
