“This place is great, I have brought my friends and family here, I have even tolled me bosses about this place too. The firearms and ammunition prices are awesome. Something awesome is not only do that LEOs get the blue line deal but so does it for Armed security does as well. I wish a place like this was up and running back when I was working Armed Security. They are also a Glock dealer so that helps with the price especially if you’re looking for a Service firearm, Plus they helped me out when one of my Glocks was having issues and helped me get taken care of. I tell my customers to come and buy as well as businesses partners who’s armed officers need gear. I was sad to see that they were temporary closed on google. “Meant to leave a review here. The owner is tremendously helpful. Straight up and honest. Got a marked up price from another location and felt the need to look around more, forgetting about Hammer Down earlier I googled and went to check the selection. Not only is everything more than reasonably priced, I found the exact firearm I had just gotten overpriced. Needless to say, I ended up going back. And will continue to go back. This is no hole in the wall Mom and pop shop. It's a place you feel welcomed in every time and leave satisfied. Every time.”

“This is my neighborhood range and shop, even when I'm not in the neighborhood anymore. Why? Expert staff, mostly family-run, and probably the best assortment in Colorado. They have a great short and medium distance range, and best of all, absolutely phenomenal staff. I especially appreciate Gina and Jordan - anyone who can walk a novice through complicated items with patience and a smile is truly a diamond in this world.
If you want to receive crappy attitudes, poor service, and high prices, go somewhere else. If you prefer a place that values return customers and goes out of their way to take care of them, come here. Even if you move to South Denver, this place is more than worth an hour drive.”
“Recently, I inherited a number of firearms.With no appraisal experience (other than internet searches) I needed someone I could turn to (Brett) that would protect not just the store’s interests, but my interests, as well.Throughout the entire process, Brett treated me with dignity and was very patient even when I interrupted him at least two times with questions. He thoroughly explained (to my curiosity and satisfaction) how he arrived at and determined the value of my firearms and presented me with a check less 30% of the total value.Considering some pawn shops and gun shops will offer 60% or less for firearms, I felt this transaction was more than fair for myself.I urge ANYONE needing to sell a firearm without feeling cheated, to visit this store and for sure to ask for Brett!”

“I’m not sure if it’s just this Cabela’s, or all of them as a company, but somehow, every visit I have here is a great one. I’ve been here 3 times in 2 weeks, dealt with different employees each time and every interaction is more than pleasant! In fact, they’re outright noteworthy. If I wasn’t so terrible with names, I’d list the specific people but wow, I don’t understand why coming here is so unlike visiting ANY OTHER retail space. Helpful, good attitudes, even though everyone has something funny to say about my Longhorns lanyard. Seriously, if you’re reading reviews to decide about this place, don’t bother.
