I placed an order for a used mandolin late at night. It shipped the next day and arrived, exactly as described, 6 days later. There was also great email communication from Dave at Monkton Guitars. It is rare to feel like you are getting personal service in an online transaction!

First time in the store today. I brought a guitar in with pick ups not working and the owner took a look at it and explained a few possible problems. After a few hrs it turned out they just needed to be cleaned and he only charged me $20. I really really appreciate the honest work and quick turn around.

Monkton is the best guitar shop around. They have everything from acoustics to electrics, vintage to new, inexpensive to the the highest end. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful, it’s always a joy to visit Monkton!

Love this shop. Great selection of electric and acoustic, pedals etc etc. and fair price. Very cool, helpful staff, has that real guitar shop vibe. Far cry from the pushy sales guy Guitar center type place. Highly recommend checking them out

This place is great. After my kids broke the neck of my beat up acoustic for the umpteenth time, I brought it here to see if it was salvageable. They took a look and said they could fix it, but with all of the little damages and warpings that had accumulated over the years, fixing it probably wouldn't produce a decent guitar at a price point that was better than just getting another "cheap" guitar. Since they said that they donate they're unsalvageable guitars to kids who make artwork out of them, I said they could keep it and thanked them for their time.As I started scouring craigslist in search for my next guitar, they texted me and said that they might have a guitar for me - a salvaged teton (broken neck) that still sounded great and that they would sell to me for an amazing price. I checked it out and it was a really nice guitar (a whole lot better than the beater I had, even before I broke the neck). I decided to buy a hard case from them, too, to hopefully prevent any future damage to my newer and nicer guitar. On top of selling me this nice salvaged guitar at an unbeatable price, they took another few bucks off of the brand new case they sold me!They have definitely earned all of my future guitar business.
