I visited this store tonight. I will admit I was hurrying to get home. I had three things in my basket, brussels sprouts, 1 pkt of turkey backs, and apples. I went to self check since there were NO cashiers available. I scanned my groceries, the turkey back would not scan, the brussels sprouts came up the wrong price. The machine flagged the only cashier on the floor who came over, scanned in his code and said it should be fine now. This happened twice. Each time the turkey back code would not scan correctly. The only cashier on the floor went and got what I would assume was a manager. This tall gentleman came over to my register, attempted to get the turkey to scan and could not achieve this monolithic goal. He informed me that I would need to pay without the turkey back and come over to the other check stand to have him ring up the turkey back separately. When I asked him why the brussels sprouts were not scanning at the correct price, he boldly asked me if they were a member price item or a digital deal. I told him I did not know. (After all, I don't work there). He said, "Ok, I'll input it for your this time." This time? It is not my responsibility to ensure their scanning system works accurately. (It was a digital deal and I had picked that on my phone the day before. There was a 5 lb limit on it and I had only purchased 2 lbs. When I got home and weighed the brussell sprouts, I realized I was 1 lb short, so I went to purchase more.) Again, not my responsibility to ensure their scanning system works accurately. I really resented being talked to like a naughty 4 year old but because I needed the turkey backs for drippings, I was willing to go along. Here's where it gets good. I finish paying, take my turkey back to the register and this tall manager(?) tells me he has to do something else first and walks away leaving me there to wait. I watch as he is standing over at the Customer Service (aka joke) desk on his cell phone. Time is ticking away when I realize there is a very lovely woman standing next to me with her grocery cart. I ask her if the price came up wrong, she nodded saying always in Safeway. I couldn't agree more. Eventually my patience wore thin and I asked the only cashier who was watching the self check if I could just pay for the turkey back and leave, it was only $2.07. He said, let me check and scurried over to the Customer Service(?) desk to see if that was ok. He quickly came back and said the manager would only be another minute. He then began assisting the other customer whose groceries scanned at the wrong price. At this point I was infuriated. I left the turkey back on the register and walked away.
Safeway stores may have some great sale items but most times the effort is not worth the price. It makes me wonder how many people go thru their self check and their seldomly manned check stands and never watch or check the price of the groceries they are purchasing. Maybe that is what Safeway is hoping for, maybe that is the corporate plan. I know I won't be shopping there again.

Employees are very friendly. I like shopping here. What I don't like, and it happens quite often is using "Self Checkout!" 100% of the time the system will call an attendant. Then there are minimal employees available. The Safeway Self Scanners can't scan & talk at the same time so they hangup and become unusable. Management has minimal employees, so you sit and wait for 5 to 10 mins for it to be cleared. Management looks like the blame here to me and no expenditures on new equipment. AVOID SELF CHECKOUT and just use full checkout. That's what I'm going to do from now on.

Last night was the first time I've shopped at this Safeway. I had to pick up a prescription from the pharmacy (which was a good experience), and did some last minute shopping for dinner. I stopped by the deli counter and waited patiently to be helped. There was a man working in the deli who seemed pretty busy cleaning and working on other things. He acknowledged me and said, "I hope you have other shopping to do, because I won't be able to help you for at least another 30 minutes." And then he returned to the work he was doing. I stood there for a minute or two, processing what he said, and then I asked him, "Did you hear you correctly, that you aren't going to help me for another 30 minutes?" His response: "Yes, I am not going to help you, I have other things to do, and I am the only one here." I put my other items down, and left, and did my shopping at King Soopers on HWY-7.
It has been a while since I received such bad customer service. I will never shop at this Safeway again.

Manager at this location is rude and ignorant. Truculent jerk of a man. Wouldn’t recommend anyone spend their money at this location.

Great supermarket with all kinds of produce. I really enjoy their bakeries like fresh baguettes, donuts, and many others. I normally do a lot of cross country running and I think this place is a great stop to get something to drink or to get a pastry. My only complaint is that they don’t sell individual ice cream and if you wanted to buy ice cream, you’d have to buy at least 3 but I guess that is understandable in a way. It’d be really cool if they sold it in smaller portions though. But other than that, this supermarket is great and very hygienic.

I didn’t appreciate it when one of the managers decided to go off on our clerk for not having carts brought in from outside. She was rude and condescending and humiliating. I’m sure for the young clerk who is helping me at the moment. In addition I asked for access to the bathroom, which you the young clerk was happy to help me with the bathroom was a pigsty. Maybe the manager should focus on that instead of humiliating employees in front of the public.

Clean and well stocked. Do like the Self-Checkout option for small amount of items. If I do have a lot of items, I will use the Human Interaction Checkout. Bring your bags or pay 10 cents each plastic bag.

I've shopped at this Safeway 3x now and must say it is the cleanest store I've been in. The shelves are well-stocked, and the employees are EXCEPTIONALLY helpful, and pleasant. I can't say enough nice things about this store.
