Sugar Spoon Candies is a nostalgic candy store located in the heart of Historic Down Castle Rock. The place is unassuming and offers a very modest yet amazing collection of candies and treats. The front of the store is filled with bulk gummies, Salt water taffy, chocolates, turtles, lickies, chewies, and candied pecans and cashews. In the back they offer 12 varieties of homemade ice cream and handmade waffle cones, all with delicious homemade tasting ice cream and generous portions. They also offer homemade fudge, brittle, kettle corn, and fresh cotton candy spun to order. They have handmade chocolates from their gourmet chocolate case. The shop is really kid-friendly with lots of candy for little kids. The staff are always positive, super friendly, and a delight, providing always friendly service with smiles. It is definitely a place to eat the best treats for an afternoon of fun and yummy goodies.
I don’t normally write reviews but I’m so impressed with the gentleman that runs this candy store! Not only is the candy super fresh and great quality but the service is top notch!! We visited twice during a weekend trip to Colorado. When we come in town we will definitely be stopping in for our sweet fix!!
