We will never go back to IKEA - ever! We haven't been to IKEA in 15 years. We now remember why. We went to the store in January, bought a couch, arranged for the delivery date, and for someone from Task Rabbit to come to our house to put it together. It seemed simple enough and we were reassured everything would be smooth as ice and twice as nice but then we paid and the absurdity began.
IKEA continuously changed the delivery date after we taken off work multiple times to accommodate the delivery schedule and the Task Rabbit professional. We attempted to be as flexible as possible but IKEA made it as painful as one could make a delivery.
IKEA customer service stated twice - after being on hold and the actual call for a total of 2-3 hours that they refund for Task Rabbit and the Delivery Fee would be applied back to the card used during the original purchase. This never happened. The delivery was scheduled for a Saturday and we made arrangements to stay home during the period it was set to be delivered. The information was incorrect but no one notified us. The logistics company blamed IKEA and IKEA blamed the logistics company. The logistics company stated that it was arranged for Sunday but the information online and with the IKEA customer service representative stated that the delivery was set for Saturday. The logistics company argued that they wouldn't bring it til Sunday so we rearranged our schedules again. The logistics company stated that they would be here within 30 minutes but showed up 3 hours later.
After going through a ridiculously bureaucratic process that took a total of 5 hours of my time, I received a call from IKEA stating that I had to complete information via an email and then wait on another phone call from customer service to receive the refund for the delivery fee due to their repeated mistakes and the refund for Task Rabbit. I have no idea if this will actually be processed as I continue to get the run around and have IKEA waste my time.

Awesome things, but there were conflicting prices on some items and I was charged more.

I bought a side table here that came with the incorrect leg pieces. I had to debate with a manager through their customer support line to get them to ship me a replacement, instead of making me make a 1.5 hour drive back to the store to exchange it. They shipped me the replacement quickly, but once the table was complete, I realized the holes for the face of one of the drawers were misaligned, and the drawer doesn't close without forcing it.
IKEA's quality control is bad. Their customer service policies suck. It's 2020, you can't be competitive as a company refusing to ship people replacement parts when they buy products from you with missing pieces...
Edit: 5 years later I bought a bed frame, and one of the pieces was missing the holes, so I had to drill them myself...

The most defective, lazy, unprofessional, rude IKEA I've ever been to. The customer service manager was downright offensive and sarcastically apologized for BEING SARCASTIC. Waste of money. And they sell defective products. Don't bother calling their help line unless you wanna be lied to and misinformed by several incompetent staff members. It's almost like they lie to you for fun because they are so good at it.

The customer service was horrible. We were sold a broken bedframe and didn't find out it was defective until half way through building it. Don't bother with the call center, none of them were trained or they just find joy in lying to you. They will tell you they will escalate the problem to a manager and that you will be called the next day. Two days later when you call, they will tell you that your claim was never escalated and that they cancelled it. We slept on a mattress on the floor for a month because of how incompetent not one, not two, but FIVE separate employees were. Customer service on the phone told us to drive 90 minutes to pick up a new bed frame, knowing all the context of our situation. We drive all the way there and the manager was so sarcastic with us and told us he's not giving us the bed frame even though we told him HIS COMPANY told us to drive there to get it. Genuinely the worst experience I've ever had with any company. They gave a $100 gift card that I have to use at this garbage IKEA bc they wouldn't refund me actual money. And their food was worse than other Ikea's I've been to. I have nothing good to say about this place. The customer service man in store should be fired for being rude and uneducated and unprofessional. Even one of the other staff members already guessed that we have been misinformed because of how often it happens. If you can't run a business, then close down.

Go for the dining hall. Burn off their pretty good food by walking the entire Ikea. Somehow decide you want to redecorate your whole kitchen. Don't fight it. It's a great way to spend a few hours on a random Thursday afternoon.

Underwhelming compared to store in Canton, MI. It looked like every Airbnb that I have stayed in for the last 5 years. Great things for pre-teen and dorm rooms. Fantastic for minimalist living too.

Unforunately I did not receive enough screws to put my daybed together. Sure they will send more in 5-7 days. The unhelpful customer service rep who kept interrupting told me to walk to the store and get them. My state diesn't have an IKEA and I had to order from a neighboring state. Also, the rep kept telling me my order # was wrong, well it's the number they emailed me. SMH!!!

Absolutely lousy customer service. I have spent way too much time standing here. 2 checkout clerks supervise you ring your own order and because the price is wrong now I'm waiting for 1 return clerk to help a room full of people.
