Be prepared to spend 3 hours or more there. Also, take a detailed inventory of what you brought there. I was told over the phone it's best to show up when they first open so I showed up so I did just that. After 3.5 hours of waiting, they finally decided they where done sorting through my son's old clothes and toys. I brought 3 (or more) coats to get some cash back to pay for the hour long drive there and back. One was a very nice yellow, white, Pikachu Pokemon jacket. 2 (or more) coats where stolen as they said they never got them. The customer service service at McDonald's on any given day is so much better. Their manager is supposed to give me a call back to resolve the stolen coats issue but hasn't. I've been a loyal customer there for at least 6 years but won't ever go back. SAVE YOUR TIME, GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!

I love buying and selling here! I feel like I get a fair amount for my things I bring in and I find great things to buy for my kids! The staff can be hit or miss but I think they have new owners because today everyone was super kind and friendly to talk to.

I absolutely love shopping and bringing my kids clothes there!
They give you a very fair price for your things (in my case mostly shop credit, but they point out what you get cash & shop credit for when you check in)
Dropping your stuff of is so easy! You just need your phone (QR code& mobile check in) and ID. You can even keep checking your status and see if they are already sorting through your stuff, which I love.
It’s so fun, sustainable and the people there are so sweet. Right now on Tuesday-Thursday (I believe?) they have a trade- in day where after you bring your stuff in (& get shop credit) you get 20% off your purchase! So worth it in my case. They also have a military discount day etc.
Thank you for being so awesome 👏

Poorly managed store. Opened 15 minutes late, messy and poorly organized.

Awful experience with attempting to sell here!
I went in with my mother attempting to sell we had two bags and a box, immediately upon walking in we were greeted by a rude woman saying they close at six (we arrived at three). Then another woman chimed in and said they could only take one container per household. My mother and I are just spending the day together and running errands we are from separate households and would be picking up our items separately and I explained this to the second woman and was met with “ that’s tricky to answer” I was completely baffled and didn’t appreciate such an awful attitude right from walking in the door before even getting a chance to even let them know I was going to be selling and decided to take my business elsewhere. All in all this was an awful experience and after reading other reviews I see this is all too common of an experience at this location. Yikes maybe the front should be retrained on decent human interactions.

This is a great place! One of kind wish there were more of these kinds of kids thrift options. Only thing I would say is prices seem a little high sometimes. I can get brand new clothes at the same price when they are on sale. Clearance seems to be the only way to get a good deal here sometimes.

Absolutely horrible store to sell to! We dropped off brand new infant/ toddler clothes and a bunch of toys. They called us back to tell us they couldn’t take some of our items. When sorting through the bin more than half of our items had been missing. We were told they were given to someone else! Their fix was to offer us 20$ even though most of our items were gone, and what was being returned to us wasn’t ours! One of the baby buntings was 40$ and still in packaging, and most of the clothes were still new with tags on them/ barely worn. Donate to a woman’s shelter instead. The owner couldn’t rectify this situation to our satisfaction, especially because the person who took our things may not come back. Their sorting system is horribly flawed and needs to be fixed. Skip this place all together when selling. When only buying, it’s worth it.

If you want basic common courtesy or to be even a little acknowledged then i definitely don't recommend coming here. I'm just gonna put it out there but unless you're a white woman you are guaranteed to be ignored. When I walked into the store I was not greeted once or asked to be helped so I had to find what I was looking for myself but as soon as two other women walked in they were greeted and welcomed while I received nothing. While I was checking out as well the cashier looked clearly annoyed and snarky didn't ask about my experience or nothing, I came in mostly looking for decent second hand swaddles and they were pretty run down looking for $6 or more that definitely was not worth it might as well go buy brand new ones. Needless to say I'm very disappointed and will not be coming unless they improve on customer service and have better options for buying.

This is the worst Once Uppn A Child that I’ve ever been to. A lot of the clothing selection is something that I wouldn’t donate to Goodwill. The prices they are asking for an article of clothing that is decent is ridiculous. Which there isn’t a very big decent selection of clothing period. I have only given a couple of bad reviews ever but, I drove 30 min to get here and if I can save someone some time than it’s worth it.

I didn’t want to listen to the reviews but I walked in a the lady behind the desk mugged me and told her worker “she has a bucket full of clothes” no one helped me at their check in line so i walked to the checkout line to get help . I was directed back to their line just to tell me they can’t take anymore clothes even though i called 30 minutes ago LOL . the reviews don’t lie i guess 😁😁

DO NOT SELL HERE!!!! If i could give zero stars i would. The employees are awful and mean. They didnt tell me that they dont give cash- only store credit. They gave me almost nothing (OF STORE CREDIT) for brand new, unused clothes and didnt give me an option to decline their offer. Im extremely unhappy with my “sale” at this location. Ive never been treated so poorly in my life. I wish i couldve declined to sell at a different location.

Unprofessional staff, unhelpful and condescending. I would not recommend, I should have read the reviews ahead of time.

Absolutely terrible experience. I walked into Once Upon a Child expecting professionalism and courtesy — instead, I was met with rudeness and blatant disrespect from the staff. From the moment I entered, it felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer.
They barely acknowledged me, spoke in a condescending tone, and acted like they were doing me a favor by even looking at the items I brought in. No explanation, no politeness, just cold indifference and snarky attitudes. This is not how you treat people — especially not in a business that depends on community support and secondhand relationships.
Save yourself the frustration. There are plenty of other consignment stores that understand the meaning of customer service. I won’t be coming back, and I’ll be sure to tell others to steer clear.

Have used this store for years now. Prices for buying continue to go up and the amount for selling seems to no longer be worth the hassle. Checked in for selling this week and was told 1.5 hours through their check in system, ended up being 4 hours before it was ready. If it’s going to be longer, they need to set expectations through the system. Also didn’t get as much $$ for it as I expected even though it was their “wishlist” items they listed on Facebook that they needed. Will probably try to sell elsewhere first in the future before going through that hassle again.
